Lofoten Lights — Local services in Vågan

Great tour and great price with pick up at Cruise Port, Leknes, Norway. The bus was clean, comfortable, and not overcrowded.

We traveled along the roadway, crossing through the many tunnels, making stops along the way. ( not in order) A pronounced O, Reine, Ramberg.

The white sand beaches were truly amazing with clear turquoise waters. There was also a surf beach we drove by. Although there were no breaking waves, it was equally stunning. Lots of overnight campers enjoying breakfast and the beautiful area.

The many villages, churches, and stunning beauty of picturesque Norway came to life right before or eyes. Amazing!!

The gentleman tour guide provides a wonderful narrative throughout the tour. Our bus driver kept us safe throughout the day as some areas were crowded.

Was on the "Winter Photography Tour to Henningsvær and Haukland Beach" tour on 11 Feb. Tour guide gave no introduction or mention at all of the attractions we visited (other than that the next stop would be "very beautiful"...), and throughout the tour she was just happily chatting (non-stop) with a guest. Not sure what this is - private tour for 1 guest?? Guests were largely Asian (including us) - did the guide think there might be some kind of language barrier or that we would not be interested to know more about the attractions we were visiting? Weather was perfect that day...expected a lot more for the price we paid for a small group tour. Very unprofessional...

Lofoten Lights ha adottato me e i miei compagni di Viaggi Avventure appena arrivati da Tromsø. Ero partita solo per uno scopo: vedere l'aurora boreale. Claudia, la guida che la sorte ci ha riservato in dono, ci ha invece mostrato che le Lofoten sono molto di più. Sono il colore del cielo che cambia tonalità ad ogni minuto; sono le ex casette rosse dei pescatori, che le dipingevano con il sangue delle prede di cui vivevano; sono le onde del mare che si infrangono contro le scogliere; sono la magia dei fiordi che mescolano le idee che hai avuto fino a quel momento sul mare e sulla montagna: possono ballare insieme, luccicare insieme. Sono le aquile reali che planano in acqua a pochi metri da te in cerca di cibo; sono la sauna nel Paradiso; sono gli occhi del viandante che risplendono grazie all'immensità della natura. Claudia ha un tono di voce pacato ma sicuro. Parla con l'accoramento di chi ha fatto una scelta di vita difficile e tutti i giorni la rinnova: con il garbo, la gentilezza, l'intelligenza e la passione di chi vive nella bellezza e di quella ti racconta le mille sfaccettature. Non c'è una sola domanda a cui non abbia fornito risposta; un solo angolo delle isole che non abbia avuto il tempo e la voglia di mostrarci; un solo commento fasullo sulla facilità di avvistamento dell'aurora boreale, fenomeno raro e prezioso che, prima di incontrare lei, non avevamo ancora visto. Mi piace pensare che sia stata per noi sia enciclopedia sia amuleto: torniamo a casa con la conoscenza triplicata e con un'esperienza sinestetica indescrivibile. D'Annunzio aveva ragione: il panismo esiste davvero. Grazie, Claudia. Se, come ci hai insegnato: "Non esiste freddo insopportabile, esistono solo vestiti inadeguati", io parafraserei così: "Non esistono luoghi inospitali, ma solo informazioni inadeguate". Grazie per averci guidato in quest'incontro...
