AMAZING! Hands down one of the best experiences we have had in our travels to many other destinations. Arrived in Lofoten Islands and weather forced us to be flexible with our plans. We found World Sea Explorers on our stop at Svolvaer and had only a one day window to take advantage of a tour. World Sea Explorers offered an opportunity for our family to book a private day with them to see Trollfjord at very reasonable prices. We left on the Stella and it felt magnificent. A beautiful vessel so well equipped and clean. Sachi and Kenneth, were so professional, thoughtful, and engaging. True experts in their field. We began the journey with a quick tour of the vessel, which included a beautiful finished interior space with lodging, shower, bath, seating area, dining area and the main deck equipped with a view from the bow with seating, a hot tub, and an upper deck outfitted with table seating. They were careful in explanation of all safety features and to be sure we were comfortable with any movement issues as we headed out to sea. We arrived into the entrance of Trollfjord and they let us know that the hot tub was available for our use. We were able to take a jump into the cold waters of the Fjord and then settle into the deep hot tub, while sitting at the base of the waterfalls, watching eagles soar around us. Breathtaking views! Coffee, hot tea and cookies were readily available, and then served a hot delicious local meal inside the cabin. We finished our tour on the upper deck bench with pillows, wool blankets and cups of hot coffee and tea, as we circled through our final leg of the tour. Unbelievable how fast 6 hours went. We saw silent tour ferry boats passing by and rib tours at high speed, and knew that we had chosen the very best option for our journey here in the Islands. Smooth, luxurious, private, peaceful, stunning, all descriptions that came to mind. You cannot truly experience the beauty of Norway unless you are seeing it from the water. The boat was incredible, the expertise and gracious hospitality of the Captain and Sacha were outstanding, and the entire experience left us wanting to return for more. We will be back to this beautiful island, if nothing more than to experience a multi-day expedition with this incredible team. Thank you Kenneth and Sachi for going above and beyond and making our journey here so uniquely special.

This was such a great experience and I highly recommend it! We booked the Luxury North Lights Cruise with Hot Tub and Dinner. The whole experience from the minute we arrived at the port was phenomenal. We were greeted in a very friendly manner and taken downstairs to the very luxurious living room/dining room area. It was clean and comfortable. The captain and his assistant clearly explained how the night would work and what the plans would be for the search. I also liked the option to be able to eat dinner whenever we wished per booking instead of having to decide to eat dinner together as a whole group. They had a nice room for us to change into for the hot tub and there was hot water in the shower to rinse off. Each group was given their specific hot tub time and slots were picked based on group preference. Sitting in the hot tub while looking at the lights and seeing the stars was such an epic experience. Dinner was also delicious and they were able to accommodate my vegetarian diet. The captain and his assistant were very nice and friendly and added to the entire experience. I would highly recommend you book this tour. Follow me on Instagram @TheShahLALand

Just back after our 6 day Tour on Stella Oceana! What extraordinary tour we have experienced on this magic unique Sailing ship! Captain Kenneth a profound experienced specialist on all these somtimes also dangerous Fjords! But his unlimited knowledge and his goal: safety first! Gave us the confidence throughout our cruise, although the weather was not on our side! We were also spoilt to enjoy Sachi‘s fantastic menues her kindness empathy and warmth! We also enjoyed the differnt deck sites and even had a bath in the hot tub! The inside spotless clean and spacious living room to read and also have contact (Wifi!!) to our families in Switzerland Thank you both for this unforgettable journey with you! See you again Thomas and Sabine

We sailed with World Sea Explorers in August 2023 and it was one of the best experiences of my life.

I found World Sea Explorers through TripAdvisor and loved the description of their midnight sun sail. It seemed like the perfect way to unwind after a full day climbing Vågakallen. Unfortunately it seemed like they weren’t offering a sailing trip that evening, which was also the only evening we’d be in the area.

I sent a quick email to make sure they weren’t planning on sailing that night and received a response in real time from Sachi, a Washington state native who moved to Lofoten to work with World Sea Explorers. She set up a trip that evening on the website just for us, which I immediately booked. Incredibly kind of her and there was no guarantee the trip would fill up to make it economically viable.

Very few businesses I’ve encountered would go to the trouble of planning a new excursion for a random tourist. The few that might would certainly require a minimum headcount of paying customers to proceed with the trip. But there was no minimum and although only one other couple signed up for the midnight sun sail, Sachi and Captain Ken were more than happy to take us out that evening.

Speaking of the trip itself…incredible. We met Ken and Sachi in person at the dock in Svolvær and we quickly disembarked for Skrova and Litlmolla. The sailboat was gorgeous, ~5 years old, and specially designed for these trips. There were hot showers, hot tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, cookies, a hot tub, and many spaces above and below deck to hang out and watch the most epic extended sunset I’ve ever seen. We shared the stunning evening with Sachi, Ken, and a lovely couple who lived in the Netherlands, and the company made the adventure all the better. We sailed on calm seas to the aforementioned islands and found a cove to jump into the cold polar waters, then got to rinse off with a hose of warm water OR had the opportunity to get right back in the hot tub.

We sailed for about 3 hours and it was pure joy. The scenery and sunset were amazing, but the best part of the trip for me was getting to know Sachi, Captain Ken, and the other couple. World Sea Explorers is about the experience, not money, and you can truly feel the love and care that goes into each trip. As Captain Ken told me, they could put 50 people on the sailboat (it’s true, it’s huge) and only sail with a full ship, but that’s not what they’re about. Many companies will tell you that, but these folks really mean it. I left a large tip and I sincerely hope I get to sail with Sachi...
