Having the oppotunity to fish in one of the prettiest places in the world, known to be the best fishing place in the world, could of not asked for a better spot, we were brought to a beautiful place, with amazing scenery, crew members were really nice too. However, we did not catch any fish, on our side of the boat, almost no one did, the other side caught 8 fish each group, there was absolutely no support for the crew members, no motivation to help the people struggling for a super expensive trip, fishing lines kept getting caught together which added even more to the waste of time, unacceptable behavior to have one group catch all the fish while the others are struggling, it was an awkward environment. Crew should of tried at least something for everyone to catch fish, since it seems fish were readily available. Tourist trap, especially for the price.
We had the chance to fish in one of the most beautiful places in the world. The scenery was stunning, and the location is known for being one of the best fishing spots.
Unfortunately, our fishing experience felt unbalanced. Almost no one on our side of the boat caught any fish, while the other side caught several per group. We ended up catching zero fish, despite there clearly being many fish in the water. The crew did not offer any help to even things out. For example, there was no assistance with changing lines, improving technique, or offering more time to those who hadn’t caught anything. On top of this, our lines kept getting tangled with other people, which wasted the majority of our fishing time. It felt almost like a competition between each side, and it was quite an awkward ambience for all of those watching who were unable to catch any fish.
For the price, the trip didn’t feel well managed. The place was incredible, but the fishing experience could have been handled...
Read moreWent on a winter Trollfjord eagle safari rib boat tour. Staff was nice and they took good care of us. (I was almost stupid enough as to not dress up properly, but they insisted that I do, for which I'm very thankful. I had no idea these boats were riding at a speed of something like 90 km/h.) Our boat driver / tour guide was a pro who was an entertaining speaker and went to great lengths to get us a close-up view of the eagles (he succeeded). The trip wasn't even expensive by Norwegian standards. It is important to note that seeing beautiful Trollfjord is only really possible via a boat ride like this (or a long and difficult hike). Upside of a rib boat ride: you get to the interesting parts of the trip very quickly because of the high-speed sections on your route. As the boat practically runs on top of water, you will not get wet unless the waves are really rough. Downside: avoid if you are not comfortable with sitting close to other people, because the seating arrangement is...
Read morePerfect service and amazing experience. We took the Fishing tour and the Sea Eagle Safari. In collaboration with the Go2Lofoten they took care of us (so it does not really matter which agency you book with), and both experiences were worth the money. The Sea Eagle Safari was unexpected surprise. It is not just the eagles, who come close to the boats and are magnificent creatures, but also the ride there and back and the scenery, and most of all the amazing tour guide and boar driver Sondre, who made this experience even better by being a real storyteller and made us want to know more. The fishing tour was mostly what we expected, and there was fishing rods and plenty of good fishing spots for all on board. Our guide Bjørn was also very interesting, telling us stories, replying to all of our questions about the boat, fishing, but also Svolvær history and cod industry, and sharing tricks and tips. Both...
