I was staying at the Tántalo Hotel around 6 PM when I started craving a sandwich. I walked over to Casa Sucre and saw they were still open, so I stepped inside to check out their selection. Of course, I picked the one sandwich that was sold out—the El Nito, made with beef brisket, cheese, and BBQ sauce on a bagel. But the amazing staff went above and beyond, grabbing more from the freezer just to make it fresh for me.
It came with a pickle and a bag of chips, and let me tell you—it was absolutely delicious. The brisket was tender and flavorful, the cheese melted perfectly, and the BBQ sauce added just the right amount of tang and sweetness. Read moreCasa Sucre is one of those places where everything you try is delicious. We had iced lattes, chai lattes, empanadas, ham and cheese croissants, the breakfast special and it was all top notch. I told my wife that this might be my favorite restaurant now- too bad we live in Boston!
As for the service, it is counter order and the staff is warm and welcoming. They bring out the food as it is ready and you sit in an eclectic dining area lit by crystal bubble chandeliers.
If you are in Panama City you must try Casa Sucre for breakfast- I can’t wait...
