We stopped into this little bar for a beer and then noticed that live music was about to start, so we decided to stay. The live music was fantastic — a great mix of traditional Peruvian tunes and some more European styles to suit the crowd. I really enjoyed it! The band was super friendly and entertaining. What was supposed to be just one beer turned into about three hours of great music and fun. So what is the 5 stars for? It's like an English Pub atmosphere - dark, grubby and cosy. They have great big old-fashioned speakers on the walls that sound great, they put the white wine on the freezer (who cares what the heck what grape it is as long as it's cold) and the thai food is phenomenal - certainly the best in the city and one of the best I can remember having anywhere. Having hiked up the very steep hill to get here at 1800, even though the doors were open, we were told it was still closed for "20 minutes". Most helpful as the opening times appear to be secret in the first place.
