As others mentioned before: it's cold! We ve been there in the summer and changed the hostel, since we were freezing every night. It is really due to the building and the high ceilings. Also be aware that they do not clean the rooms during your stay. The kitchen is big, but completely dirty. Haven t had a such disgusting cooking place in any other hostel before... Some people didn't mind, but it wasn't for us. |At the time of our stay the owner wasn't there and the guy being in charge of the hostel, was completely confused with our booking, gave us a wrong room and messed up our booking.com reservation.||On the up side: it is a cool building, but needs some work. Stuff was friendly. One of the cheaper places in a expensive city (but not a good value).||In the end it s ok for one night. After a trek or if you want to stay longer in cusco, we would recommend other places (especially during off season the prices are pretty flexible...
Read moreLocation was the only shining star for this location which is kinda reflective in how little these people care. They know they’re located close to town and you’re gonna stay there no matter how they treat you. Maybe it was because of NYE but we stayed for 3 days and didn’t get a towel until the 3rd after asking 5 times. Also the shower was FREEEEZZZZING and the guy lied and lied and lied saying it worked in front of other customers checking in but I made him come to the room and he couldn’t get it to work. So we never needed the towels we asked for because we didn’t shower for 3 days 😥. People stay up drinking (not sure if it was customers or the family living there) every night even after NYE and there’s a baby that lives there who’s up at all hours including 6-7am. They start banging around early with the kid so expect people to keep you up and people to wake you up. Hope this review saves someone from stepping...
Read moreWe spent 3 nights in El Hospedaje Artesano de San Blas : two nights before leaving to the salkantay trek and a night after. The rooms are simple and convenient, you can have private bathroom or share it. You can enjoy a really nice patio in this place: perfect to relax, write a postcard or meet people staying there! The staff is perfect : you can let your stuffs during your trek outside Cusco and Julio Cesar will give you advice for your experience. The hospedaje artesano is located in the ideal area : in the high parts of Cuzco, 10min walking from the Plaza de las armas and there are many nice restaurants and...
