We came in a bit early on an evening that they would be serving a group of 28 from a tour, so the atmosphere was likely far different from normal. Very cordial and welcoming in any case. The recommendations and service from Jorge and Jose were wonderful…outstanding doesn’t say enough. Though we had English translation menus, as non-Spanish speakers, we are very appreciate of the time they took to explain selections or offer extra condiments. And the food was delicious…my wife was barely halfway through her meal when she reported, “…this is the best lomo saltado I’ve had since we arrived” (a week earlier). My tacu tacu with shrimp was done to perfection and the sauce just made it better. Prices were especially reasonable. Can recommend without hesitancy or qualification. Read moreI chose Asnapa because of its reviews as well as a short walk from my hotel. What a gem! The welcome is warm, the pisco sour quick to arrive and the food delicious. I spent a delightful quiet first evening in Peru discussing traditions and foods. The meal was excellent.
My tour group wound up coming in the next night without a reservation. Although the place was full, the staff pulled together a table for 8 and served us without delay. Again the food was great.
Came a third time with a friend…drinks and food excellent again….and the warm welcome made...
