Bahía Lima Restaurante - San Isidro — Restaurant in Lima Metropolitan Area

The food here is absolutely brilliant, both in terms of flavour, presentation and value. I visited early on a Sunday evening and although the place was quiet there was still a good vibe. The live band started to set up during my visit and I’ve no doubt the atmosphere is even better during one of the performances.

There’s a good range of food on the menu but given the waiting staff couldn’t speak any English it was difficult to order anything than straight items from the list; it was nice for them to offer up the use of a translation app on their phone though!

The service of food was really quick and I was impressed by each of the dishes. The level of spice in the ceviche Bahia was strong, so bear that in mind but the lomo was truly delicious.

I tried several dishes here. Ceviche mixto, langostinos a la piedra (shrimp ceviche), a breaded shrimp dish with passion fruit sauce and for dessert a chocolate cake with a side of ice cream. My experience here was excellent, the food was excellent, the fish and shrimp were fresh, the yuca was soft and tender and the sauces were delicious. The chocolate cake had a chocolate fudge sauce that paired well with the ice cream and cake. I had a peruvian mixed drink called a Cóctel de algarrobina and a passion fruit juice which paired well with my meal. The wait staff spoke English and were very attentive...

Ahead of the last much crowd for typical Peruvian food. Tried the fusion wantan lomo salteado - good portion to share (6) full of flavour and the traditional chupe de langostinos. The chupe was a little watery than I expected but strong flavour with abundant shrimp. Air con on high led to a very cool lunch...
