Oh dear, so many good memories here but not necessarily for the rest of my group who over indulged in the extra large pisco sours. We came here as part of our guide’s recommendation and I could see why. We were fortunate enough to have a seat on the balcony and next to us were Australians who I was immediately able to connect with. My travelling friend and I shared a pizza but the pisco sours kept coming. We left after a couple but alas, the boys didn’t make it back to the hotel until 11pm. Next day we were back for the celebratory dinner for part of our group finishing the Classic Inka Trail. This time it was lunch. I had Nacho Macho but others indulged in everything possible. Prices are reasonable. Not wheelchair friendly if you want to go upstairs. The Santa at the door kept freaking us out as it broken into Christmas tunes each time we walked passed it. Note that upstairs is set up for groups, often for the trekkers so they can spend time with their trekking team to thank them and share their last meal – nice touch. Lots of spots to charge your phone here as well as free wifi which was a little slow at the time but heck – there was probably 50 people in the room. Toilets were clean. Meals were delicious and quite cosmopolitan. The staff are excellent.

I have celebrated my 50th birthday here eating and drinking a lot. The food was delicious and nicely presented, the staff was attentive, they also improvised a makeshift cake for me. I will never forget that night. Thank you all!

Apu Salkantay restaurant offers delightful food. I tried the ceviche and a dish not even on the menu, Cau Cau de pollo, reserved for locals – both were extremely delicious. A must-visit for authentic Peruvian cuisine!

This place was super super expensive, we went with a group of about 10 of us and the prices are just so ridiculously over the top. My friends and I chose not to eat there purely based on the fact we walked past 4 or 5 other places that looked really nice for less than half the price a few shops down. As it turns out this was a good decision as the guys who did eat said the food was 'horrible', one said the burger was like a store bought meat patty that comes 10 to a packet. Save the money and the trouble and go a...

Very very poor experience, we came here with our guides after the Salkantey trek for our last dinner. The menu is very sparse with some Peruvian options and pizza. We mostly chose the Pizza, which can be summarized as worse than a reheated deep frozen pizza. It felt like it had been microwaved and on top of that I found a piece of glass in mine. Service wasnt much better and the atmosphere was comparable to the weather; miserable. Just avoid this if you can, save yourself...
