Mawic Restaurant is an absolute gem in Ollantaytambo! The location is right on the River, the food was delicious and the atmosphere warm and welcoming.

What made our visit truly unforgettable, though, was William, the owner. He went above and beyond to help us resolve an issue with our Machu Picchu tickets, calling friends and coordinating with local contacts to make sure we could still experience this incredible site. His kindness and friendliness, made our trip even more special. We will never forget William.

Was recommended this spot by a tour guide and decided to try it out after our previous lunch plans had fallen through. Turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made. This spot is located in a nice area with a good view and has a diverse menu with everything from Peruvian dishes to pizza and pasta. The portions are very generous, especially the drinks, and the prices are more than reasonable. The food was absolutely delicious and we were even given free dessert as a kind gesture from the staff, who were extremely friendly and helpful as well. After reading so many great reviews we wanted to try this restaurant. We were disappointed with the food & service time . We ordered Quinoa soup , spaghetti , mango juice , chocolate cake . Mango juice & quinoa soup was good , spaghetti was so salty we returned it and we got it replaced with similar salt and we did not eat at all . Chocolate cake was so dense and not tasty .

I feel bad for the lady who was serving , as she was the only one across the floor running around with service & juice bar ..
