Altitude Peru — Local services in Wanchaq

This week was my first time ever in Cusco and the team of Altitude Experience Peru made sure I had a blast.

Today our beautiful tour guide Marizol gave us an amazing walk through Machu Picchu. She is an amazing person and very knowledgeable in the Inca Culture. My mind was blown away with all the history I learned from her. Apart from being very knowledgeable she is a very nice person and always made sure to throw in some fun facts as we went through our walks. She made sure we got all the great angles in our pictures and got the best experience we could’ve ever had. Really made my day in being able to experience such a beautiful sight with someone who really cares and enjoys their work.

The day before we were able to enjoy an amazing experience at Rainbow Mountain with Rob. He is a very sweet person and was always on top in making sure we were feeling safe throughout the entire hike. He helped us get some breathtaking photographs and made sure we had the proper materials in order to be comfortable during the hike up. Truly an amazing tour guide and you can tell he enjoys what he does very much.

It is always great to meet amazing people who enjoy the trips as much as the tourists. Altitude Experience Peru definitely has an incredible staff and I would 100% always recommend them for all the tours offered. They are all very respectful and courteous. After a ton of online research my girlfriend and I decided to hike the 4 day/3 night Altitude Xperience. This tour worth every penny. The hike was challenging, but perfectly timed breaks and excellent food powered us through! While we were not the most experienced campers, Robinzon made our trip a breeze.

First, our porters were first class. They would power by us on the trail with a smile and when we arrived at lunch and our evening camp site, everything was perfectly arranged. While they worked behind the scenes, every part of our hike was made possible by them. On top of just carrying our all of our gear, somehow the cook and his staff were able to produce first-rate, 3 course meals 3 times a day for our group... something I am still trying to wrap my head around.

While Machu Picchu is as breathtaking as you would expect, the more impressive part of the tour is having beautiful Inca ruins completely to yourself along the Inca Trail. Each site has its own allure that could only be experienced without large groups.

Finally, Robinzon, was undoubtedly the best guide we have had on all of our travels. His knowledge of all things Peru/Inca/Flora/Fauna, kept every moment of our trip engaging and entertaining and our whole group left as great friends.

For anyone considering this trip, we cannot recommend Altitude...

What and amazing experience!! A friend of mine and I who are both well traveled decided to go to Peru and book a expedition with the Altitude Xperiance team. They were extremely accommodating from the start. First, we were met by Adrian, who kindly showed us the city of Cusco and took us to get soup. Later that afternoon, we were greeted by Robinzon who was our guide for the remainder of the trip. He did a briefing the night before our trek and explained what we needed to bring and what we were to expect in detail. The rest of the trip was a dream. Our porters were fantastic and the food was amazing! Meeting the local people, eating in there homes, learning about the culture and seeing lama’s/alpaca’s is just a glimpse of what to expect. As mentioned earlier, both my friend and I have visited over 100 countries between the two of us and this trip was by far the best because of Robinzon, Adrian, and the Altitude Xperiance team. If you’re considering a trip to Peru to do a trek or just to see Machu Picchu, I wouldn’t look any further then Altitude Xperiance!!!! Thank you...
