I work in the food and beverage industry myself, so I know how demanding the job can be. However, I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with the poor customer service and unprofessionalism I experienced at Mang Inasal SM Baguio on December 30th during lunch. My family and I were seated at Table 73, (Yes, it's me) and the entire experience was appalling from start to finish.
Wrong Order: We specifically ordered pecho (breast), but all three chicken parts served to us were paa (leg and thigh). At first, we didn’t notice, but when we realized that my mom’s chicken piece was significantly bigger than ours, we brought it to the staff’s attention. Instead of handling the issue gracefully, several staff members gave us hostile glares, as if the mistake was our fault.
Incorrect Refund: My family requested a refund for the price difference between pecho and paa. Not only did the staff fail to offer an apology, but they also gave us the wrong refund amount. It felt like they were dismissing the issue altogether and simply wanted us to stop complaining.
Lack of Basic Service: When my mom decided to have her food packed to go, they gave her a takeaway box and paper bag—which is fine. However, they didn’t provide any cutlery. When I approached the counter to ask for cutlery for my mom, a lady staff member rudely asked me, “Do you need a spoon or fork?” I clearly said, both. She still handed me three forks and nothing else. This level of incompetence and disregard was infuriating. My husband eventually had to step in to ask for a spoon because I was too upset to deal with the staff anymore.
Unprofessional and Rude Behavior: The glaring and dismissive attitudes from the staff were the most disheartening aspect of this visit. I could overlook mistakes or minor inconveniences, but the sheer lack of respect, professionalism, and basic courtesy shown by your staff was unacceptable. It’s one thing to be rude to an individual diner, but I WAS WITH MY ENTIRE FAMILY. This behavior reflects poorly on your team and your brand.
Mang Inasal management, I urge you to address the training and attitude of your staff at this branch. Customers deserve to be treated with respect, and incidents like this can damage your reputation. This is not the kind of service I expect from a well-established chain like Mang Inasal....

Personal experience, year 2022, me and my friends had lunch here, 3 of us ordered PM2 and 1 friend of ours ordered halohalo with palabok. They served our food but not the halohalo and palabok. We are already asking for 2nd serving of rice but our friends order is not yet served so he went downstairs to check and he was told its being prepared, really halohalo and palbok will take 30 mins???? We are almost done, our friend was fed up and he walked out and went to jollibee session and had his lunch. After before we leave thats the only time they serve the halohalo and palabok so we asked them to pack it.
2023, me and my sister went there to have merienda, we ordered halohalo and empanada. After 20 mins halohalo was served, we already finished the halohalo and there is no empanada being served, so we took our bag and went to the counter to take it out instead, and guess what, it was packed less than 3 mins. Fuckkkkk
I conclude that this branch only focuses in serving chicken, then why are they offering merienda items if they dont want to serve it to their customers???
The second floor (dine in area) is so hot because the smoke from the kitchen goes up to the dining area (poor ventilation). Good thing they have tables set in the Porta Vaga hallway area.
Serving food is so slow and staff are rude. You need to wait long for your food to be served, if you will approach staff and update your order, some will snob you and some will answer but in...

This incident happened yesterday, April 17, 2025. My family and I visited Baguio, so bale 30pax po kami. Our boys and kids craved for chicken inasal. So we decided to eat Mang Inasal in Sm Baguio.
First, we were being assisted by the cashiers para kunin yung order. Although we have the same number but different receipts since yung mga ate ko decide na per family nalang yung iorder. But during nagbibigay pa lang kami nang mga ate ko nang order sa Cashier we haven’t noticed that the rest of our family occupied some vacant seats inside Mang Inasal and those remaining family member of ours, most Senior Citizen and may infant. Tapos biglang nagsisigaw nalang yung babaeng staff na may mga nunal sa mukha sa kanila at pinaalis sa table sabay sabing “hindi bakayo nasabihan ng cashier” I told that girl naman that my family weren’t informed since kami ng mga ate ko nagdideal sa cashier. Medyo nagalit ate ko sa kanya but I asked for an apology to that girl and explained. Well kahit sino naman talaga magagalit especially pag parents mo na sinisigawan and both seniors pa yun. Sobrang bastos naman talaga.
Next, is yung order ready to pick up na daw. So we thought na yung ibibgay sa tray is per receipt siya kahit iisang number lang kami. Number 55 kami pero 9 receipts in total. Bale ginawang isang number kasi kami, since yung number is yung basis para sa seats and yung sa order namin is nakaseparate receipts. Pero nung nakita namin yung order namin is naka mix up na lahat. So nung nagataka kami if pano namin malalamin kung kaninong order to at sinabihan nalang kami na “kunin nyo lang po yung order niyo diyan” so I iniated and told my ate’s to get their own order based sa receipt nila. And there’s a last two orders na mali. But they keep insisting na yun daw yung sa receipt. So sinabihan ko sila can you guys double check it and sabay turo sa table namin. Mygosh yung girl trying to serve parin yung tray na mali nga yung order. So I told her to count it first before you serve that tray since mali nga yan. So which means hindi nyo samin ibibigay yung exact order. We know how strict you Guys for not sharing of rice, thats why iniinsist rin namin na dapat unli rice yun pero bingay nyo solo meal. And imagine the price difference of pecho and paa, we ordered pecho but bibigyan nyo kami ng paa?
And for that girl wearing a white polo shirt, naka eyeglasses, not sure if trainee ka diyan! I want you to know, you’re the worst person I’ve ever met! Yung pagdadabog mo and paglukot nung mga receipts shows how rude you are!
Yung isang crew na lalaki im not sure if intention mo or not yung matapunan kasama namin ng maraming chicken oil. But atleast he said sorry din naman pero not sure lang if sinadya order hindi.
Even the manager, nagdadabog rin kahit na address niya yung concern namin. We haven’t received any apology sa kanila.
For all the staff nang sm baguio mang inasal: You should know that entering f&b industry is mahirap talaga especially fastfood. But I believe during interview, you will be asked rin namin if you can work under pressure. And paghindi nyo pala kaya sana wag nalang kayong magtrabaho. Kasi yung attitude na pinapakita nyo sa customer is ganyan, nakakasira kayo ng ambiance. You should prepare yourself and embrace yung hirap sa f&b industry if gusto niyo talaga magtrabaho. And look we work hard rin naman para makakain kami diyan. And lahat naman ng trabaho dito sa Pinas is mahirap. Is it hard ba to show kindness when addressing customer concerns? You never know what people been through, tapos ganyan mga ugali nyo. Sana naging nice nalang kayo.
For the owner, please make an immediate action about your staff . Please let them undergo a training. Your staff is consider as a frontliner nang business, pero yung mga ugali ka sumpa sumpa talaga. Except sa isang staff named Remy, who was able to assist me with a smile nung nag take out ako sa food ng drivers namin. Keep it up po. Sana po ito yung...
