Allow me to embark on a culinary critique of my recent foray, my discerning palate was met with great anticipation at a renowned establishment, yet my taste buds were left yearning for a more harmonious symphony of flavors. As I ventured into the realm of the best-selling steak, my heart brimmed with expectations. Alas, the reality presented itself as a duet of dissatisfaction.

The dish, a rare steak by name, unveiled itself before me not as a testament to culinary precision but rather a journey veering towards mediocrity. The sizzle that graced my ears on its arrival did not quite resonate with the poetry of a rare masterpiece. Instead, it danced between the lines of medium cooking, depriving my senses of the desired rare finesse.

And then, there was the matter of the steak's girth, or rather the lack thereof. It lay before me, a wafer-thin rendering of what could have been a hearty indulgence. A mere quarter-inch thick, it seemed to beckon the question: "Is this the best this revered establishment has to offer?"

In conclusion, my experience left me with an aftertaste of unfulfilled promises and a longing for that elusive rare delight. For in the world of culinary artistry, there's an expectation that the best-sellers should shine as beacons of excellence, but alas, this particular dish left me with a taste of...

The place is really great, very cozy, and the lights are just alright. I really liked the ambience. It’s just that I was expecting a lot in terms of the food since there are good reviews about this one and that it’s a “must-try” here in Baguio. I guess it’s a must try but once is enough for me and my family. The food is somehow lacking in taste… especially the soup… the porkchop wasn’t so nice, the rice was undercooked (ramdam mong may bigas pa, matigas, at may ibang parts na malambot naman sobrang uneven), and the sisig… I don’t know but I felt disappointed (look at the picture)… I liked their bangus and pork bbq tho, as well as the potatos (kinda soggy) and beans but overall, I expected more. Also, their staff were making you feel like their really only doing their job. They don’t bother asking if you’re already good, and we had to call for their attention for about 5 times before we were noticed. My brother even had to stand to ask a favor and take a picture of my family. Nevertheless, it was, still, a great experience but I don’t think we’ll come back for more. More blessings to the...

Sizzling plate in SM baguio is the worst branch ever. We ordered 2 t-bone and 1 tenderloin but they served 3 t-bone and mine was cold so I told the waiter that mine was cold and they changed it. The waiter also insisted that we ordered 3 t-bone which is wrong but we just said its ok since they already served it. We requested medium rare but some part of the t-bone was raw. We didn't complain since the staffs are not approachable(not all though), that would be our last meal in Sizzling plate sm baguio branch. Other branches are ok and they serve nice and good food not like the branch in SM.

Sizzling plate SM branch is not...

Food is great as usual! Their siomai and soy dip is chef's kiss! Sans rival is a forever favorite! Good for appetizers or take out. I think they just really need to up something with their soup warmer. The first 5 spoons are warm but apparently after that, it immediately turns cold. Also, I think several of the staffs are new since we used to see aged and skilled male dining staffs. When we ordered fruit shake, the waiter just said it's not available because the staff who does the shakes is on break. 🤷🏻‍♀️
