As usual, the food was great❣️ My family and I ordered their Bangus ala Pobre, Gerry's Special Inihaw na Bangus, and Crispy Kangkong. We were told by the staff that the food will be ready within 20–25 minutes, but (a good "but) the Crispy Kangkong arrived within just 5 minutes or less. ✨️ We were also served a small plate of potato chips (with gravy) on the house as an additional appetizer. 💛
Bangus ala Pobre The grilled fish was tender (not raw), flavorful, and a bit juicy.✨ My favorite were the slightly burnt parts of the fish. They were the tastiest. 😋 Also loved how crispy the sides were. 👌 What made the dish even more delectable were the garlic bits and grilled sides (carrots, turnips, tomatoes, shallots, and green beans). 😋
Gerry's Special Inihaw na Bangus Similar to the Bangus ala Pobre, the fish itself was well-seasoned and tender. ✨️ The creamy, sweet, savory, and slightly sour egg ensalada (egg, shallots, tomatoes, and scallion strips) significantly elevated the overall taste of the dish. 😋 A perfect complement❣️
Crispy Kangkong True to its name—very crispy ✨️ The sweet shallot-tomato(?)-mayo on the side was a perfect dip as it added a depth of flavor to such a simple dish. 💚🤍 It also helped with the greasiness and blandess of the plain kangkong chips. ✨️
So far, the staff in this particular branch are consistently providing quality service as they have been accommodating, attentive, and friendly ever since (similar to that of their Ayala Central Bloc branch but notably even more so). Will definitely dine...
Read moreI'm on the fence with 3 or 4 stars, so I'll make it 3 and update it to 4 if either there is a response here. Maybe they just had a bad day.
First off, the staff and the food were great. Maybe the problem is just in the kitchen when it comes to timing.
While being served most of our food already, we were told the normal crispy pata was not available and we opted to get the family size one. I was a little concerned that we already had the rest of the food before they even told us this. The crispy pata didn't arrive until we were completely finished with our meal.
Then we asked about our dessert a few times and sat for 20+ minutes waiting for it. Long after we had our table cleared, our leftovers packed and the check paid. Just really an excessive amount of time for a glass with a scoop of ube and ice.
I've been to various Gerry's locations and enjoy them. The grilled squid is the best here. Calamari is great (though they should give more sauce). I also tried the raw tuna for the first time and enjoyed that as well. I've never ordered something here that I...
Read moreI recently dined at Gerry's Ayala Center Cebu, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a modern yet cozy design that made it perfect for both casual meals and special occasions.
The staff was attentive and genuinely friendly, offering excellent service without being overbearing. They were knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations.
I ordered the Inihaw na Liempo, and it was absolutely delicious—cooked to perfection with a perfect balance of flavors. The ingredients were fresh, and you could tell a lot of care went into the preparation. The Ube Macapuno Delight was also a standout—beautifully presented and rich in flavor.
Prices were reasonable for the quality, and portion sizes were generous. I appreciated the small details and water refills, that added to the overall experience.
Whether you're a local or just visiting, I highly recommend giving Gerry's a try. It’s a place you’ll want to come back to...
