Our dining experience at Pala-Pala Seafood House in Dumaguete was decent but left room for improvement. We ordered the Seafood Bilao for two, and the portion was generous. The sauce was bold and flavorful, and the dish featured a good variety of seafood, including shrimp, clams, and crab. However, the freshness of the seafood was inconsistent, with some items tasting less fresh than others, which was disappointing. The service could use improvement, as it was not particularly attentive. Additionally, the cleanliness of the restaurant was lacking, and the indoor area had an unpleasant smell. Despite the hot weather, the air conditioning was only available for an extra fee, which led us to opt for outdoor seating instead. While the outdoor area was spacious, it came with its own issues—mosquitoes were abundant, and the mossy floor posed a slipping hazard, especially when walking to the handwashing area. Overall, while the generous portions and flavorful sauce were positives, the inconsistent seafood quality and poor upkeep of the restaurant detracted from the experience. With some improvements to cleanliness, service, and facility maintenance, this spot could offer a much better dining experience.

We visited the place for dinner around 8:30 on a Sunday. The place was packed. Fortunately, we were able to sit immediately as a table had just been vacated. The staff were polite enough (I'm not sure if this place is self-service or what), but they didn't bother to take our order. We personally went to the counter to get the menu and to order. I'm okay with it, but I noticed they were taking orders from other tables. Also, at that time, the place was warm, maybe due to the number of people dining. Fortunately, the food was delicious. Definitely going back for the food. Hopefully, the experience we had was a unique situation due to the number of diners, and we'll have a better experience next time.

We just went to Dumaguete Pala-Pala Seafood House, and even though I couldn’t eat the crab (allergies are no fun), it was great to see my boyfriend loving his first Filipino pala-pala dish. He said it was amazing, and I could tell he enjoyed the meal a lot! The ambiance of the place was welcoming, making us feel right at home. As for the pricing, it was as friendly as the atmosphere - totally affordable. Summary: If you're craving a seafood adventure that's kind on the wallet and big on taste, Dumaguete Pala-Pala is your go-to spot. Just remember to bring someone along who can tackle the crab if you're allergy buddies like me!

We visited this restaurant at 4:00 pm , they have big space and also AC room too. The food i had is called seafood pala pala rice for 1 person and it was very good taste so far is the best meal i ever had during past 7 days in Philippine. The portion of seafood is big, and they also said that is the best seller. Another plate is pasta seafood was ok. But there is the thing they( owner or manager) didn't inform us when they ask us would we want to change to inside room , big room round table instead of the small high table in Ac room, after eat, in the bill they charge us 60 pesos for the table which they didnt inform us. We are only 4. And that is unfair. Another thing, the toilet is flooding. I hope this is only my experience. Last thing, time of preparation quite long, aprrox 40 minutes. But anyway, good address to...
