Me and a Group of other 5 friends went there to eat after reading all the reviews, thinking we’re gonna find a trust worthy restaurant, pretty hard to find in El Nido. The night after we ate (more or less 5-6 hours later it started) 4 of us that ate “fresh” ceviche) started to get severe diharrea and vomiting. 2 of us, me and my boyfriend, who actually ordered the ceviche (the other 2 just tasted it and got well after that night) had to go to the hospital because we couldn’t stop vomiting and the diharreea for more than 12 hours. At the hospital, after hours of tests we were told that we had infection (2 different ones: typhoid fever and gastrointestinal infection with another bacteria) and it was from something we all ate the night before (these are the doctor’s words), we were given tons of medicine and had to spend the night there, horrible!!! I underline the fact that it was our second day, FIRST DINNER in El Nido, we didn’t have tap or not purified water nor food in other restaurants but some fruit and crackers we had on the beach that day. While me and my boyfriend were recovering in the hospital, my other friends went to speak to the owner and aware her of what happened, not trying to accuse or ask for anything, simply tell her what happened in order to prevent this from happening to other tourists. The answer was very insulting and disappointing, instead of showing some empathy she was very hostile and said that we must have been using the same toothbrush. I am addressing here personally to this madam: M’am, we have separate toothbrushes and use them individually where we come from. A simple: “oh, I am sorry to hear that, will make sure everything is ok in my kitchen!” would have been enough. It’s unnecessary insulting us and playing the smart one because as you just said in a reply to one of my friend’s review: in El Nido the sanitary coditions are very peculiar and could’ve happened EVEN to your “trained” personnel. Shame on you and your way of dealing the situation! To other tourists wondering if to eat here: be prepared to get some gastrointestinal bacterias and cheap insults for a pricey food...

We went for dinner there because of all the good reviews. I only had fries because I wasnt hungry, but those who ate claimed the food tasted good. However two hours later, two of us stared getting really sick with nonstop vomiting and diarrhea for a few hours, and the other two were eventually rushed to the hospital because they had been vomiting for 12 hours to the point where they had nothing left to throw up but their stomach acids. One of them was diagnosed with tyfoid (Salmonella) and they were both prescribed antibiotics and stayed the night at the clinic.

We went back to simply talk to the owner just to inform her that this happened so that it doesn’t happen to anyone else. Her response was very disappointing, insisting that there’s no way it was from the food they ate at the restaurant, and that maybe they “used the same toothbrush” which is quite insulting to be honest. It was definitely from the food they ate there, either the fish ceviche or the noodles cause these are the two things all four ate in common.

It’s shame that the owner was unprofessional and boarder line insulting and didn’t accommodate us. We didn’t even ask for money or anything like that we just went to talk to her with good intentions, hoping to avoid this happening to...

Service was appalling! Waitresses are blatantly rude and ruined our time here.

First time we came, service was okay & we got given correct portion sizes on the cheese melt (x2 slices).

Second time we came, we ordered the cheese on toast (cheese melt) again but only got given one small piece of cheese on toast.

I asked the waitress to come over and take a look explaining why we weren’t happy and she just stared at us and walked away, not saying a word. 10 minutes passed and still nothing. I then spoke to another waitress who eventually told me that they talked to the kitchen and this is was the regular ‘standard’, which we argued but her attitude was awful & she yet again just walked away.

This is a complete load of rubbish, their ‘standard’ should be the same every time (2 pieces of toast) and even their menu picture shows 2 pieces of cheese on toast.

The lack of communication, understanding, apology & expensive prices for 1/2 done dishes are why I’m giving...

When I went to their minicafe by the sea yesterday, I asked if they had hot chocolate. The lady manning the cafe said yes. However, when my drink came, I took one look at it and had the hunch that it was just Milo. I tasted it, and true enough it was Milo. I looked at the lady and said, "Is this Milo?" She answered sheepishly, "Yes, po." Even though it was annoying that it was not real chocolate, I just ignored it, thinking that as an incentive I wouldn't have to pay much since it's just some cheap drink that you can buy for ₱10 a sachet. However, when the bill came, I was asked to pay ₱180 for a cup of Milo! If you're going to charge your customers ₱180, you could have at least used authentic chocolate. Therefore, this is blatant PANG-GAGANTSO or swindling. When I asked the lady manning the cafe, "₱180 for Milo?" She grinned looking rather self-conscious and said, "Yes, Ma'am." "This is wrong," I said. But I guess many no longer know what right and wrong is these days.

A quirky and vibrant place , nicely tucked away in the town of El Nido.... Good afternoon everyone , I hope your well , so I've been coming to this place quite regularly over my time in El Nido and the main feature for me is that , it's nicely tucked away from the main town. It has a small bar on the beach , a cool shop and then it's bigger brother opposite , which has a very vibrant and welcoming feeling to it. The food and drinks are decent and while I feel the price is quite expensive , for the views and cool decor , with a nice ambient blend of chilled music in the background , it makes it worth it. They also sell there own home made soaps , jams , cutlery and a few other items that are definitely worth investing in. It's deffo a great place for solo , couples and families , who want to unwind , have some decent food , invest in some quality home made products and enjoy the beautiful views of the beach. Have a beautiful day , God Bless 🙏♥️✝️
