I recently visited a charming coffee shop near the beach that also impressed me with its food offerings. Located just a few steps away from the sandy shoreline, this café provided a delightful setting for a relaxing morning or afternoon. Now, let's talk about the food. The café had an impressive menu that went beyond the usual coffee shop offerings. Whether you were in the mood for a light snack or a substantial meal, there was something to please every palate. The variety of options ranged from freshly baked pastries and sandwiches to heartier dishes like salads and medditeranean foods. Not to mention, these foods are to die for: Souvlaki,Moussaka ,Seafood platter Pasta - puttanesca, prawns aglio, greek beef meatballs, seafood marinara. This is not a paid review, but I hope it will be 😅😅. They also offer cocktails from 2pm. Imagine having your own cocktail while listening to the sound of waves and being greeted by everyone. In summary, this beachside coffee shop not only provided a beautiful location near the beach but also impressed with its delicious food offerings. From the cozy ambiance to the delightful menu options, it offered a memorable experience for coffee lovers and food enthusiasts alike. If you find yourself in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for a refreshing cup of coffee and a satisfying meal. Michelin...

As a food critic who has visited countless restaurants across Manila, I always look for places that offer not just great food but a memorable dining experience. Café Athena exceeded my expectations, delivering a true taste of Greek with every bite.
The Food: A Mediterranean Feast
I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki and Lamb Souvlaki, both expertly grilled and packed with authentic Mediterranean flavors. The meat was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, paired with warm pita and a refreshing sauce.
The Spaghetti with Meatballs was another standout dish, featuring a rich and savory tomato sauce that complemented the perfectly cooked pasta and flavorful meatballs.
One of the highlights of my meal was the Flaming Cheese a dramatic and delicious dish that arrived at my table sizzling and aflame. Its creamy, slightly tangy flavor was simply irresistible. I paired all of this with a cold beer, making the meal even more enjoyable.
The Verdict
Café Athena offers an undeniable Greek culinary experience with bold flavors, high-quality ingredients, and a charming setting. Every dish I tried was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, making it a must-visit for Mediterranean food lovers.
If you're craving authentic Greek cuisine in Elnido, Café Athena is the place to go. Highly...

After eating here twice and leaving less than satisfied both times, I'm chalking it up to them. The first experience was below average food and "no lamb" (at a Mediterranean restaurant?). As we're spending two weeks in El Nido, we decided to give them another go. After ordering an orange juice, we were told they were out of oranges. After ordering a gyro, we were told they were out of bread. I ordered a prawn pasta instead. Judging by the exorbitant price, I was at minimum expecting fresh. What I received was boxed spaghetti and tomato sauce from a bottle. The prawns still in their shells were covered in red sauce, reducing me to a 5 year old rather than a diner, up to her knuckles in red sauce. Considering the price, I didn't expect to go swimming in my food. The cherry on the cake was the tables to either side of us having their gyros delivered...on the bread the staff told us they were out of? When we brought this to the attention of the hostess and a waitress, both offered only that they were "out of bread when we ordered, not now". Then walked off. No real explanation, or apology for inconvenience. We paid more money for a meal we didn't initially want, our complaint went completely ignored and I took a...
