Had lunch at Cabana Restaurant, and while the place is undeniably beautiful with its airy white interiors and a serene view of the sea, the food left a bit to be desired—especially considering the price point.

We started with the Cabana Mango Salad (₱450). It was beautifully plated with a mango rose centerpiece, but the portion was quite small for the price—felt more like a garnish than a proper starter.

The Triple Formaggio Scallops (₱425) sounded indulgent but came out slightly dry and didn’t quite deliver on the promise of rich, cheesy flavor from three types of cheese.

We also tried the Mango Salsa Rock Lobster (₱1550) which had a vibrant tropical flair and tasted good, but the serving size was disappointing—just two small-to-medium lobsters halved into four pieces.

The Pork Tomahawk (₱1450) came with a more generous portion and looked impressive. However, the meat itself lacked seasoning and seemed to rely too much on the accompanying gravy for flavor.

On a brighter note, the ambiance was excellent—spacious, coastal-themed interiors with a clean white aesthetic and an open-air layout that lets in plenty of natural light. The view of the ocean and poolside adds a relaxing, resort-like touch that makes for a lovely setting.

Customer service was mostly good—staff were polite and attentive overall. However, one waitress noticeably stood out in contrast. She didn’t seem happy serving the dishes and when I asked her a question, she walked away quickly without checking if we needed anything else. It felt dismissive and took away a bit from the otherwise pleasant atmosphere.

In summary, Cabana has a stunning setting and decent service, but food portions and flavor execution don’t quite justify the premium pricing. Worth a visit for the view, but maybe not for...

A Refreshing Tropical Escape: Food and Views to Savor

  1. Pineapple Delight The presentation alone is a showstopper—fresh, juicy pineapple slices served in a hollowed pineapple shell, paired with a vibrant straw and decoration that scream tropical paradise. The natural sweetness of the fruit is both refreshing and invigorating, making it the perfect thirst-quencher or light snack for a sunny afternoon.

  2. Seafood Rice in Coconut The seafood rice served inside a young coconut is a true culinary masterpiece. The dish is a visual feast: plump shrimp, tender mussels, and fragrant rice garnished with tropical flowers. The flavors perfectly blend the natural sweetness of coconut with the savory, umami notes of seafood, creating a memorable and exotic dining experience. Every bite transports you to the sea.

  3. Stunning Ambiance Beyond the delicious food, the setting amplifies the experience. Overlooking a serene infinity pool with the ocean on the horizon, the atmosphere feels luxurious and relaxing. The clean white architecture combined with the lush greenery creates a perfect backdrop for a meal worth savoring.

Final Thoughts If you’re looking for a unique tropical dining experience, this is the place. With impeccable presentation, fresh flavors, and breathtaking views, it’s an ideal spot for food lovers and relaxation seekers alike. Highly...

A Delightful Dining Experience at Cabana Restaurant I recently dined at Cabana Restaurant, and it was an experience worth sharing! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere, enhanced by the restaurant's stylish yet relaxed ambiance. The ocean view added an extra layer of charm, making it a perfect spot for both casual and special occasions. The menu offers a great selection of Asian fusion dishes, with the seafood options being a definite highlight. I tried the Pumpkin Cream Pasta, which had a deliciously creamy texture with a hint of spice—definitely a must-try! If you're dining in a group, the Cabana Platter is a fantastic choice, offering a little bit of everything. Aside from the food, the service was exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, Cabana Restaurant delivers in every aspect—great food, fantastic service, and a beautiful setting. If you're in Lapu-Lapu City, this place is definitely worth a visit! Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) Would you like me to tweak anything or focus on specific aspects of your experience?
