Acqua Gazebo at Shangri-La Mactan Resort and Spa — Restaurant in Lapu-Lapu

*Currently (December 2020 - January 2021) this restaurant is only open partially for guests of the hotel, for lunch and as the venue for ‘cocktail hour’ for Ocean Club guests.

We had lunch there once and used it as part of the Ocean Club benefits a few times during our stay over Christmas & New Year.

We shared a pizza for lunch, which was freshly cooked in their pizza oven. It was fantastic and more than enough for 2 light eaters.

The staff there are great and work really hard attending to their duties.

The venue as a whole is really nice. There is inside and outside seating areas, but currently only the outside seating is available due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However this outside seating is shaded and cooled by a large canopy and fans.

The view overlooks the swimming pool and the sea. Hopefully this venue will be fully open again soon, as each time we have eaten there over the years, for breakfast, lunch and dinner, we have had a...

The service was warm and very welcome. All the staffs were sooo nice and friendly. They are also responsive and helpful. Except for the chi spa service, i wish if the massage could be done harder, so i can really feel its pressure. Instead, i felt the massage was just more to touching-touching and scrub-scrubbing my body. I ve asked the therapist twice to massage me harder, but she didnt increase the preassure... even worse, the pressure became slow and slower. Hmmm... i was frustrated. But there are my few of my friends got good therapists which service them with right massage pressure. While another friends of mine having same experience with me. Maybe i was not lucky. But looking at the amount of investment we put for the massage, i feel it is our right to have a skillful therapist to serve us. I hope Shangri La can improve on...

Our experience at Acqua was delightful. Not only do they serve delicious food, but their customer service is also exceptional. They welcomed us warmly and were super helpful throughout our meal.

My favorites were the Tiramisu Classico and Classic Carbonara. Their Cotoletta di Maiale was also noteworthy for its tender meat and generous portion size. Their pizzas are also a must try, especially their 4 Formaggi.
