Ibiza Beach Club — Restaurant in Lapu-Lapu

We had the 15 course Balearic dinner on our first night here. The shellfish (lobster and shrimp) was extremely overcooked, the fish was alright, but not what the menu said - it was parrotfish instead of salmon, which is fine. The meats were almost all horrendous except for the chicken. Filet mignon was further than well done. Beef ribs tasted like it was marinated in barbecue sauce for a week. The rib eye was decent, but well-done. The pork belly was actually decent. The ostrich was extremely gamey.

Wasn't served all the courses and asked if we were finished, so I requested a "New Zealand lamb chop" which most definitely was a goat killed on the side of the road. It wasn't just extremely gamey (the worst lamb ive had in my entire life), but I got sick from it. There were bones embedded all over the chop, and my next 15 hours was just straight gamey goat diarrhoea every 20 minutes. The cherry on top is that this cut of lamb took 30 minutes to come out from when we asked for it, and in between, we were asked whether we wanted to pay the bill twice since we were just mulling around waiting for that one lamb chop supposedly from NZ.

The best things were the one piece of okra on your plate, the preprepared seafood salad and the Iranian salad.

Total waste of $2500+ pesos per person. Issue wasn't even the money. If I wanted to get sick and eat at least decently tasty food, I'd just walk out...

Ibiza beach club is a part of the beach club at Movenpick hotel Mactan. Non room guest patronage is conditional. Discount on food for Room Guests and with priority admission. It has the indoor section as a formal dinning room and the outdoor Jacuzzi Bar and restaurant. No dress code here and bare foot is welcome.

The outdoor Bar and Restaurant has DJ start at 4 pm as well as Live Entertainment at 8 pm. Cancelled if rainy.

Menu is more of Spanish style with choice of Tapas or full course a la carte or Mediterranean Salad buffet or a 15 grilled assortment set menu at 2600++ or 3200++ with unlimited wine per person.

Environment is modern and romantic. A Jacuzzi is located at the bar area. Happy hour 4 to 6 and is a perfect for a drink before dark. Close at mid nite during week days and 2 am for weekend.

Price is reasonable here and food portion is adequate. Service is excellent here. It was a zoo when the rain suddenly came in the mid of the activities but they mastered it so well and so organised that all guests are...

It was disappointing that the hostess oriented us wrongly on the use of the PRE-PAID gift voucher (she did not check it at all ☹️). We already made orders (per orientation), when i asked the attendant if they could check the voucher since they really never asked for it. Turned out that there was no need for us to order since our food will just be served. The saddest part, we had to pay for the previous orders we did not intent to have if only things were correctly explained (we had too much food on our table).
