Step into Via Mare, where the spotlight isn't on the food but on the merry faces of reunited classmates and teachers. This isn't just a restaurant; it's a nostalgia-inducing time machine with a side of sumptuous Filipino fare. Forget food photos – we were too busy capturing memories and devouring every morsel of goodness. I mean, who needs food pics when you've got laughter, stories, and a table full of delectable dishes? Via Mare isn't just a place; it's a warm embrace, a culinary sanctuary where familiarity breeds contentment. You won't find pretentiousness here, just good ol' comfort food that keeps you coming back for more. And speaking of coming back, we practically ordered the entire menu – from the heavenly "Sari-Saring Kakanin" to the delightful "Merienda Delights," not to mention diving into their "Altanghap" and "Masaganang Tanghalian" offerings. In a nutshell, Via Mare isn't just a restaurant; it's a Filipino institution, a beacon of tradition in a sea of culinary trends. So, next time you're craving a taste of home, skip the food pics and head straight to Via Mare. You won't be disappointed.

EXPENSIVE THAT DOES NO LONGER LIVE UP TO ITS EXPECTATIONS 😞 Taste and Quality came extremely short against its Pricing. No longer as good as it was. Felt like they're cooking for profit and not cooking for the sake of tradition or flavors. Puto Bumbong is pre-cooked hence reheated. Grated coconut meat is sour. Puto Bumbong is either dry of missing butter. Dirty shells with all the unchopped hair from the Laswa. Dehydrated Calcag.

Kid food friendly place. Newly renovated as if our last visit this october 2017. Place is Pwd and stroller friendly. I would say its much brighter and more spacious than the old layout. Their instore washroom has been removed but gave more space to dine. Food is still top notch. Good job to via mare crew in rockwell , they are very polite and accommodating. Place is clean and well maintained.

11 August 2022, Thursday, lunch time. Was looking forward to eating good Filipino food after almost 3 years of not being able to come back to the Philippines due to the pandemic, however, Via Mare in Rockwell was a big disappointment. The 2 stars are for the friendly service of waitstaff Mark, Edmund/Edmon, and John and the yummy bibingka with salted duck egg. The Grilled liempo, Sisig, and Squid adobo we ordered were embarrassing. The Grilled liempo had more vegetables than the meat itself, they were thin, small slices of liempo, the sisig had tough meat bits & pieces, no egg, no mayonnaise, no lemon or calamansi, a strange sisig, the squid adobo...I can't even describe how disappointing it was, and the rice that was served to us had the "tutong", the bottom, hard, burnt leftover part of the rice. The beers weren't cold too. Crispy pata, oyster mornay, and laswa were ok. I wish I can post the food photos here. Never...

The food is great!!!!! for balikbayan’s this is the place to be. the only thing i have noticed is that waiters aren’t that attentive, we’ve been seated for 5 minutes still no menu card was given to us. we were in our office uniforms, felt like they doubted our capacity to pay!!!!!! honestly that was what we all felt. we were there because the management of via mare gave us a P5,000 worth GC as token of appreciation for the assistance we gave them during the renewal of business permit at makati city hall. i have never met ms. barredo but her name was an icon during the 90’s since she used to be the HRAP president back then. i took HRM at St Scholastica’s College during the 90’s that’s how i got to know her. Anyways, we had a sumptuous dinner at via mare gbelt 1, their chubby waiter was kind of choosy to whom he should pay attention to. overall kudos to via mare!!! long live and thank...
