Read more11 August 2022, Thursday, lunch time. Was looking forward to eating good Filipino food after almost 3 years of not being able to come back to the Philippines due to the pandemic, however, Via Mare in Rockwell was a big disappointment. The 2 stars are for the friendly service of waitstaff Mark, Edmund/Edmon, and John and the yummy bibingka with salted duck egg. The Grilled liempo, Sisig, and Squid adobo we ordered were embarrassing. The Grilled liempo had more vegetables than the meat itself, they were thin, small slices of liempo, the sisig had tough meat bits & pieces, no egg, no mayonnaise, no lemon or calamansi, a strange sisig, the squid adobo...I can't even describe how disappointing it was, and the rice that was served to us had the "tutong", the bottom, hard, burnt leftover part of the rice. Read moreThe food is great!!!!! for balikbayan’s this is the place to be. the only thing i have noticed is that waiters aren’t that attentive, we’ve been seated for 5 minutes still no menu card was given to us. we were in our office uniforms, felt like they doubted our capacity to pay!!!!!! honestly that was what we all felt. we were there because the management of via mare gave us a P5,000 worth GC as token of appreciation for the assistance we gave them during the renewal of business permit at makati city hall. i have never met ms. barredo but her name was an icon during the 90’s since she used to be the HRAP president back then. i took HRM at St Scholastica’s College during the 90’s that’s how i got to know her. Anyways, we had a sumptuous dinner at via mare gbelt 1, their chubby waiter was kind of choosy to whom he should pay attention to. overall kudos to via mare!!! long live and thank...
