I’ve had these Island Chicken Inasal thrice in my life in Boracay and will not get sick of eating it! It has a very unique taste (comparing it to Mang Inasal) both are nice but in their own uniqueness and taste. I feel like Mang Inasal has more chicken fats whereby Island Chicken is more well done barbecued which I prefer. 😄 Mang Inasal is more like a fast food chain, while Island Chicken has a restaurant vibe. Despite the price, you’re paying for a good ambience, good service and clean and well maintained restaurant. I also just want to comment , last night the size of the chicken was a little bit bigger than usual, first and second time we ate it , we were a bit disappointed as we ordered PECHO , the chicken was small. I’m not sure if they are the same everyday. 😅 Nevertheless, I still highly recommend them! && Lastly, we arrived last night at 9:35pm, I think that’s their last order, thank you for accommodating us and letting us dine it at a last minute! ✨

Upon scanning the menu, it is what you expected to be in an inasal place. What caught my eye was their take on Sate Babi. As a Bacolodnon, I grew up eating this in my hometown from time to time. The first bite was immaculate. It was an Anton Ego from Ratatouille moment. It took me home for a moment. The peanut sauce complemented the savory pork in every bite of the skewers. The wife enjoyed the pecho as well, and with a mug of cansi soup, it transported us to Bacolod with every bite. The lumpia togue was so-so, nothing special, but straightforward. The icing on the cake was the chicken skin, best paired with an ice-cold beer from any country.

Love this branch! The area is spacious and not too crowded unlike the one in Dmall. The staff is super accommodating! Food: Chicken pecho is so delicious! It has slightly crispy edges, which make it even more flavorful. The toyomansi and chicken oil pair perfectly with it. Cansi soup for 80 pesos is not bad at all! It has a nice balance of salty and sour flavors. Glad we didn’t go for the ₱600+ option, we just wanted to try cansi. One order/cup is actually enough for two people! Ensaladang talong, tastes good and comes in a big serving. Liempo, nothing special. But its okay and cooked well. Overall, pleasant experience!! ♥️
