Aquarius Terraces Boutique Hotel — Hotel in Malay

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed it. After struggling to find a well reviewed and decently priced place in Boracay as travellers on a budget, we came across Aquarius Terraces on Google and managed to book directly through their website with an early 2023 discount. The price we paid for the room, the location and the views were exceptional value for money. The room is huge, spotlessly clean and well equipped. In our opinion, the stairs to the property are nowhere near as bad as previous reviews claim - it was well lit at night and the views from the property make up for the slight workout! The staff were very welcoming and friendly - Lin was lovely and checked in on us every day and Andreas the owner was very helpful. Do not be fool of almost 92 steps stated on their website. This means 92 steps or almost 100 steps going to the room. Not only that, at night the stairs was so dark. What a very poor customer satisfaction. For a 4,000 php a night this is over and unreasonable price compare to the other hotel we found along the beach area. Do not come to this hotel, it is not recommendable. In fairness to the lady, she’s very accommodating but since this is my first time in Boracay I was surprised and disappointed to the hotel location. I asked them if I can just pay for one night and get refunded with the remaining nights so my family and I can move out to a better hotel, unfortunately the hotel owner didn’t grant our request. We loved our stay at Aquarius Terraces, we stayed for 3 nights and the overall stay, location and beach access was comfortable and accessible. The 100 stairs was not a huge problem for us. The rooms and the balcony were super clean without a spec of dust or sand anywhere, we had to really be careful with the standards of cleanliness within the hotel. The owners were really helpful they even allowed us to use their own kitchen to cook food and also the ate was kind enough to share her feed about Boracay beaches, travelling options and nearby restaurants etc, And she cleaned our rooms with fresh new towels during our stay.
