Black Scoop Cafe — Restaurant in Mandaluyong

AMBIENCE This is one of the newest establishments we've visited at California Garden Square. Dine-in seats are very limited so I'd rather set my mind for possible take-out. They were full around 8:00 pm. At least they have strong air-conditioning.

BEVERAGE Red Dragon Milktea was mild to hardly sweet but already came with pearls and egg pudding. The name was really catchy but I would probably go for the bestsellers next time.

SERVICE They crumpled our receipt and assumed we wouldn't ask for it. I think it would be nice if this establishment would have some sort of practice to encourage giving receipts automatically, or else customers' orders are their treat; something like that. They also didn't call out our names for the beverages. It turns out they thought our beverages were still incomplete when they actually were ready...

The coffee is good, the cake is a bit too sweet but has good texture, and the service is a bit not that much attentive, had to wait and eventually clean up the table I was to occupy since the crew seems busy. All in all the experience is good, it's just that the place is a bit warm thought the weather is cool, I guess not ideal for hangouts...

Had Brown sugar milk tea with cream cheese. It’s ok, sweetness is just about right... tastes more milk than tea however. French fries were cooked perfectly. Would have to come...
