I tried their bestseller, less extra chashu. Its the basic kuro ramen at 180. The one with added pork is the kuro chashumen at 230. The taste is like tonkotsu with black sopa de ajo. Not really my favorite, i just wanna try what they consider as their best seller. Not bad, the garlic was just on the brink of bitterness overload, but is tolerable all throughout the last sip. Kinda feels healthy though. (From garlic overload) When you sit, you already get a glass of water and a shot of hot ocha tea, which is refillable. On the side you have sesame seeds, black pepper, chilli pepper, and chilli oil. The chilli oil was not hot. I got more flavor from the chilli powder. The order was quick but hot and fresh. Like 2-3 minutes. The soup was rich, a bit oilier than others ive tried. The noodles is good, has some physical weight in it and a nice bite. The noodle serving size is just right for your bowl. I initially wanted to order additional noodles but when the bowl came, it seems just right. Additional noodles is 40 bucks. Feels like an extra rice craving when you see it in the menu. I almost always forget to take a picture before eating. The soup is a little bit mixed na, sorry for that. I also take quick pix that wont get attention. For me, the closer to reality, the better. Heres some photos of the experience. I also added stolen shots of the place and the kitchen. Why 4 stars, the place is accessible with common parking, visible kitchen, good flavor and quality, but it lacked a 5 star specialness. Could...
Read moreWe visited your restaurant yesterday and were the third on the list. When asked for our order, I requested Kuro Ramen and Watermelon Shake to be served later. My boyfriend inquired if the Karaage in the set and the separate order were the same, and upon confirmation, it was the same so he ordered the Chicken Karaage set with rice. Later, they returned to validate our order, and I changed my Watermelon shake to Yellow Mango shake to be served later, as I observed it being served together. I was frustrated that I couldn't alter my order, as it had already been prepared despite my specific instruction to serve it later. The customer after us already received their ramen, but we were still waiting. Our order took a while to arrive, and the first item served was the Watermelon shake. Our ramen arrived together, but the chicken Karaage was different from what we expected, so the crew provided us with wrong information. Also, they do not have a rice. The most annoying part was the removal of condiments from the table, which should have been available before we were seated. It took time for the staff to provide what we needed. After we finished eating, I asked for the bill, but it hadn't been prepared. So, we went straight to the cashier to request the bill and pay. Please improve your services, as all the customers in your restaurant were...
Read moreI met a Japanese at the airport & I asked him what is the best ramen in Manila. Without a doubt, he said Kuroda. That's why Kuroda has been on my radar for some time. Finally I got to try them when I visited idol Raffy Tulfo at TV5. The guy was right, they are fantastic! Not only the taste impressed me but also the price. I think it's the best value for money ramen in the metro! For a cheap price, I had a set meal which has a bowl of tonkotsu ramen, karaage plus salad on the side with fruit appetizers. The rice of the karaage can be exchanged for extra noodles which I did. The mayo dip for the fruits was heaven. All these great food topped with a friendly service made my visit great. When they handed a feedback slip to me, I wrote everything positive. The place is just simple. On the tables were complete sets of condiments which you can use to adjust the taste to your preference. When I was waiting for my order, they even served me a hot tea. I got a new friend for ramen, his...
