I had the most horrendous experience here. Not only was the food bad but I felt physically threatened when the manager confronted me and refused to let me leave. The staff held me hostage by surrounding me and holding the door shut.
I had ordered cous cous, lamb shishlik and a side of vegetables. The food arrived, and despite what was explicitly described in the menu, there were only 3 tomatoes and they were cold.
The lamb came with three bones, of which two had a meager amount of meat on it. The last bone came with a massive piece of fat which rendered it all but inedible.
The cous cous was wet with a porridge like consistency. It was bland and plain, absolutely terrible.
I left the food and tried to pay the bill. It came up to nearly 1000 pesos. I offered to pay half in light of the awful food. When I complained about the food, the manager refused to let me leave without paying the full bill for the uneaten, inedible food. His staff then surrounded me. As a woman, I felt extremely threatened so I paid up simply so I could leave.
This is truly one of the worst places I've ever eaten at...
Read moreArya Persian Restaurant in Ermita If you like to try something Persian go for the Arya Persian Restaurant in Ermita. There are two branches of Arya in Ermita, one inside the Robinson Place and one just outside the main entrance of Robinson Place. I tried the one located outside, because that place is bigger with a more quiet ambience than the one inside the mall. The menu was like a bible with many options and I finally decided for the Mourgh Tanoori. I was hungry so I added 30 PHP extra to get Biryani rice instead of just getting Pita bread to my food. Mourgh Tanoori is skewers of chicken breast marinated in Tanoori sauce. The Biryani rice is basically spiced Basmati rice with some raisins and peanuts. The portions was big and the food was delicious. My only minor remark would be, they grilled the tomato but why not grill the green chili fruit as well? More tasty that way I think.

Read moreCame here tonight, so far food was okay. Ordered Lamb Biryani — which was gorgeous — 1 portion of Arya Dip Platter in which we found a strand of what we suspect, a hair, but, no big deal. The pitta was also good.
It’s just a shame that the service is extremely bad. It’s been an hour since we ordered, no service water served, my ordered drink never came, the waitress came back to our table 15 minutes after serving the food, asking if do I want my drink just yogurt or does it come with strawberry when we clearly ordered yogurt strawberry smoothie and she even confirmed it.
If you’re a smoker, you cannot smoke inside, so you have to dine outside. When you sit outside, you can’t sit and have your dinner at peace because there’s too many beggars, and wailing children that are beggars.
Cutting my review short, I recommend that you DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE AT ALL.
Extremely horrible. The stars in my rating would be for the pitta and the lamb biryani,...
