Yakimix — Restaurant in Manila

I don’t give out reviews.

Half the time, most people won’t read them and the majority of the time it’s just a wasted effort so I just move on. However, to save even a single person from my experience would be worth the effort of this review.

This service is horrendous.

Their food that’s out, it’s dry. It’s cold. It’s like they’re serving awful food knowing people can’t possibly finish off their plate so they hit them with an unsuspecting “left over” charge. After living here for four months, and my fiancé and I traveling and enjoying a multitude of restaurants in the Metro Manila — this is hands down beyond one of the worst places I’ve ever had to endure. Disgusting food, terrible customer service and deceptive, too.

We go to buffets from time to time, we know of the clean plate policy being pretty standard but here, there was no verbal notice nor was there even a sign indicating it.. Conveniently for them. To top this off, we mentioned it to staff and essentially received no response back. Terrible service. Terrible food. Hilariously enough, they will stuff the 400 pesos down your throat too, like their terrible food. Please. Save your money. Don’t give them the service. I never will again.

Just go to Tong Yang on the ground floor. Significantly better staff — happier, more welcoming and warm in their effort to provide top notch service to its patrons. Not to mention superior food, two soup options and guess what? Unlimited beer, too. I’ve been to Tong Yang over 5 times now, and I’ve yet to leave feeling dissatisfied. I imagine anyone else will feel as I did, content with their food!

We went there for a dinner at first i was expecting more food a legit buffet restaurant,When we are about to start we notice that the grill pan is easy to burn and we asked the staff to change it it took a minute to change it while the other staffs are standing by and having a happy chitchats and just looking at us.. they were not approachable very disappointing that they were just behind me and talking too loud..2 too slow to refill,Drinks are taste less... We asked to change the paper 3x maybe if im not mistaken? Cause the ashes sticks on the meat which i know that its burning and we stop grilling and choose some dish like the beef that hard to chew as the bubble gum,lastly we are about to pay but this staff approach us and forcing my bf to eat the left over pork.. Which he refuse to eat because it's burned cause of the paper and the ashes into it so he is and about to pay the left over food,But this staff look at him sharply and said it cannot be.. She walked away,and a minute ago came back and said it really cannot be she is impolite... We know and we are aware of what is their rules and policy but ti force us to eat the burned food cause of their griller and impolite staff we did not pay our left over and my bf talked to the manager..We are not mad but disappointed of what happened and our expirience hope you improve next time.Thank you...

Totally disappointed, it was different from what we have before. Today, we decided to celebrate in Yakimix due to our previous experience of good quality of food and service, we didn't expect it to be degraded by its quality when it comes to their food and services. Before, the food was of the highest quality and freshness you can get and it will make you fall in love with it, but now, their cooked food, some are bland, some are tough to chew , some are soo salty, one dish is totally spoiled and is already giving a hint of foul odor but still they insisted that it wasn't and it is due to the mushrooms and still serve it, I've been cooking with mushroom for years and I know the food is spoiled because of it or not, some food that you need to cook is not fresh anymore and have a slimy texture but still being serve. The only enjoyable thing to eat there is the desserts. The staff also has an attitude, you tell them the problem discreetly but they'll just give you a fake smile and then when you turn back , they'll murmur something about you like you did a terrible crime against them, a typical Karen attitude, unfortunately for them that I saw them doing that. All in all, it fell from 5 stars to a negative 1 star...
