Mabuhay Place-Manila Hotel — Restaurant in Manila

My experience at Mabuhay Place-Manila Hotel left much to be desired. Despite its historical significance, the hotel seemed to be stuck in a time warp, clinging to pandemic-era restrictions that are no longer relevant. The dining experience was particularly disappointing, as all meals had to be served by the staff, which made the atmosphere feel restrictive and far from the relaxing vibe one would expect from a stay in Manila. The enforced social distancing measures were outdated and unnecessary, creating an impersonal environment that lacked the warmth and hospitality I was hoping for.

Adding to the frustration, the hotel itself felt old and worn out. While it may hold a rich history, the lack of modern amenities and the awkward location made it difficult to fully appreciate what it once might have been. The service, too, was inflexible and rigid, which further diminished the overall experience. Instead of a seamless stay that combined both history and comfort, it felt more like an exercise in endurance.
