tl;dr: some of the staff were rude, and the waiting time was too long. very very slow service but food’s still good
ate here after their reopening. ordered their chicken sliders w/ fries, caesar salad, and steak it easy. our food took 1 hour 15 mins to come out. when we followed up, server said that “we weren’t informed” about the wait (verbatim was “di po siguro kayo nainform”), which was true. at that point, we had been waiting for an hour. it took another 15 mins for the food to come out. when we asked for the bill, the waiter came to give the bill and asked in a brash tone if it was correct (verbatim: “tama po ba? tama po ba yung price?”). the waiters also seem to avoid looking at tables who are calling them, with some (including us) having to wait for a long time for a server to come, and even longer to get the stuff we asked for such as water and utensils. extra mayonnaise took 10 mins to come.
we were excited to eat here after finding out that they reopened (thru tiktok) because we used to love pound because of good service, good food, and decent prices. sadly, the service became horrible. the food is still okay, but it was overshadowed by the terrible service. they admitted that they were understaffed, but if so, they should’ve held off on opening to avoid disappointing clients. some tables who came after us left because of the...
Read moreRead moreI ate here on a monday afternoon, there weren't that many customers when i was seated and still is after i ordered. I only bought one rice meal and fries. Had to wait for 35 - 45 minutes before they were able to bring out my food. I was considering on leaving and having my order canceled, but since i was already very hungry and i actually liked the food that Pound serves, i decided to stay. Unlike Pound in SM North where the food was served 8 minutes after ordering, the service here was not satisfying but can be improved. The rice meal looked lacking it's like "tinipid" when it comes to the crispy onions, gravy, and rice. The fries were great, crispy, and flavorful. I just wished the service was better. I visited Robinsons Manila especially for Pound since it's the nearest branch and i was glad it reopened again after renovations, this experience was disappointing. The old lady next to my table also had a hard time calling for a staff to get her bill to pay since they seem to pass by her like a ghost everytime she calls after them. She was able to pay after calling them 3 or 4 times. I'll be waiting for better reviews before i eat at thi...
The name can be intimidating but actually you can get your money's worth here. Even non burger lovers will fall for the taste and charm of Pound. With the exception of the foie gras burger, every thing in the list is actually reasonably-priced...amazing! Aside from the burgers (take any burger...it's worth it!) please include the Todd English Poutine and the onion block (don't be fooled by the price of this one...less than php100, this can serve 2 to four people). The only inconvenience in this place (in the case of the Robinson's Place branch) is the CR (WC or toilet or rest room however you want to call it). It is a public CR located one level above and is not a lovely sight to see. I wish that this place be discovered and be filled up with lots of people...I wish everyone will love this place...i wish longevity for...
