I had one of the worst dining experiences tonight at Mary Grace Parqal. We were greeted politely and seated right away. The restaurant was not full, with fewer than five groups dining, so service at the start went smoothly. Our orders were taken correctly and served without issue. The problem came after we finished eating. At the bottom of my plate, stuck to the surface, I found a curly strand of hair. I had already finished my meal when I noticed it. I was exhausted from the day and didn’t want to make a scene. I simply wanted the staff to be informed, to hear an apology, and to move on. I asked my companion to politely let the server know. The server said “for a while” but never returned. We kept waiting. This dinner was important to me, I hadn’t seen my family in 8 years, and we chose Mary Grace because it has always been one of my favorite restaurants. But instead of handling the situation quickly, everything was delayed. When we asked another server to call the manager, she told us they were “investigating in the kitchen” and we just had to wait. This upset my aunt and grandmother even more. Still, there was no apology. The manager explained that usually they replace the food, but since I had already finished eating, they could not. She even smiled while saying this, as if it was nothing serious, while we were wasting time waiting for an answer. Eventually, we just asked for the bill. I could even see the manager glancing at us from the counter/kitchen, but still she did not approach. Only when my aunt pressed the issue did the manager finally return, this time with a revised bill, refunding my meal. She mentioned that everyone in the kitchen wore hairnets but that they would still “investigate.” Still, she did not say sorry. Out of frustration, I sarcastically said sorry to her, and she smiled and replied, “It’s okay,” which honestly felt like she was implying the fault was mine. There were CCTV cameras pointed at us, and instead of addressing the matter directly, it felt like they assumed we planted the hair. It was only when my aunt asked, “Aren’t you the one who is supposed to be sorry?” that the manager finally gave an apology. By that time, the damage was done. This was such a sad and stressful event for what was supposed to be a special and intimate family dinner. I have always enjoyed dining at Mary Grace and never had this kind of treatment in other branches. But after tonight, I don’t think I can ever return to the Parqal branch. I truly hope no one else has to go through an...

My recent dinner at Mary Grace in Parqal was a truly enjoyable experience. The restaurant itself is spacious and inviting, with bright lighting that creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
My waiter, Mr. Sedi, deserves special recognition for his excellent service. He was attentive and helpful, even suggesting dishes that perfectly suited my taste. Following his recommendation, I opted for the shrimp salad and a slice of their famous black velvet cake. To complement the meal, I went with a refreshing raspberry drink.
The shrimp salad was an absolute delight. The ingredients were fresh and perfectly balanced, and the signature sauce was the perfect finishing touch. It was clear that the dish was made with care and attention to detail.
The black velvet cake was nothing short of heavenly. It was moist and decadent, with just the right amount of sweetness. It's a true testament to Mary Grace's reputation for delicious desserts.
Overall, my dinner at Mary Grace was a resounding success. The food was excellent, the ambiance was inviting, and the service from Mr. Sedi was exceptional. Kudos to him for his spot-on recommendations! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delightful...
Read moreMary Grace Café at the new Parqal Mall is everything you’d expect—charming, cozy, and delicious, as always. The interiors are stunning with high ceilings and capiz lights that made me want to sit there forever, despite the air conditioning being a little on the warm side.
Food-wise, they never disappoint. I started with their Cheddar Cheese with Tomatoes & Capers, which is basically heaven on a plate. The mix of sharp cheddar, juicy tomatoes, and briny capers on crunchy bread had me nodding in approval. Their Daing na Bangus? Crispy, tender, and pure comfort, especially with eggs and rice. The Sirloin Beef Tapa, tender and flavorful, also brought the same level of satisfaction.
Now, I’m usually loyal to Cibo’s tiramisu, but Rex, our wonderful server, insisted I give Mary Grace’s Chocolate Rum Tiramisu a shot. Let’s just say, Cibo may have some competition! Creamy, with just a hint of rum and the perfect balance of sweetness—it was absolutely delightful.
Overall, despite the café being a little warm, everything else was perfect. Great food, wonderful service, and that tiramisu… Rex,...
