Was looking for a quick meal after Hubby's photoshoot gig in the area and found this Japanese resto that looks authentic. Ordered wagyu rice, sushi, yasai itame and temaki. The service was tops, kimono clad wait staff always attentive and refilling the delicious tea. Yasai veggies were crisp but I prefer more buttery ones. Chawan mushi was delightful and so pretty. Hubby said meat dish was flavorful though Philippine standard pricey for a small bowl. I found the sushi a tad too mouthful in size. The complimentary Macha pudding with azuki was tasty and will not mind ordering it for take out which unfortunately is not possible. I found the seeming rant by the chef distasteful when there are diners within hearing distance. Toilets were typical of Japanese standards with heated seats and ample toiletries. I wonder if during lunch the resto is still frequented by scantily clad females.

They strive for traditional Japanese dishes and they deliver pretty well considering limited local resources and techniques. Not true Japanese but the best you might find in the Philippines. Ommakasse is a bit expensive but it spans all genres of Japanese cooking. The fish is not super fresh but the best I have had in the Philippines.

I have eaten in Japanese restaurants althroughout the world. Highly expensive for just above the norm food. Service was atrocious with a wrong order right off the bat even with a list given to them. you can hear the crew chatting loudly through the mostly empty restaurant which brought you out of the experience.

Very expensive for slightly better than average food. I ordered the Omakase, and it was a hit and miss. The sushi and appetizers were good, but the pork belly was not good. The soba, steamed egg, and tempura were average. Spent around 5000 per person.

The service was also weird. They mistakenly brought us extra sushi that was not meant for us, so they took it back. Also forgot to bring out the miso soup. Takes a while for drinks to be refilled. I expect more for what...
