This is a delayed post review. Went to Senkai last 23rd August lunch time.
Arrived around 1130a with my family (10pax), to make sure that we were able to get the seats near the cook station. The chef cooking was very entertaining and lovely.
Food was okay, but not mind blowing.
Service was very bad. This was on a Sunday lunch time. There were loads of prep staff (making the food) but maybe 1 server on the floor? There were only 2 families in the restaurant at the time (including mine). There was no one taking used plates off the table or checking if drinks needed to be refilled.
My husband ordered 3 types of sushi rolls, expecting them to arrive while the chef was preparing the other food in front of us. Chef was done with the show/cooking. No idea where the sushi rolls were. Which was interesting, as aside from the other family there with us, the restaurant was basically empty.
Had to follow up with whoever we found on the floor (no idea if she was a server or a manager) only to find out, she did write the order, but did not advise the prep staff to make it. Had to wait another 10mins (on top of waiting after the order was placed) before ONE set of the 3 sushi rolls arrived. The other two arrived after AWHILE as well.
We paid 15kPHP total for 10pax. Was it worth it? Nope.
Food was mid. 5/10 Service sub par. 2/10

We loved sushi and before coming to Sankai, our experience of having sushi in PH had nothing been short of disappointment. However, we're so glad to have taken a leap and tried this one.
The restaurant itself feels very authentic in its environmental presentation. You're welcome but guests who were genuinely friendly and top notch service. Alongside a great welcome from the staff is a hot tea.
There is a great selection of meals from the menu. Our favourites is the tuna chin which comes with a hefty price but it's all wort it. The sushi rice was cook to perfection Their ramen was also good. Skewers were tasty, I'd suggest trying the cow's tongue which may sound odd but really tasty. Only thing needing improvement was the temaki ha droll and it was not filled to the bottom of the cone, nonetheless it was an amazing...
Read moreI had an incredible dining experience at this Japanese restaurant. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, elegant, and authentically Japanese. The staff was exceptionally welcoming and attentive, making sure everything was perfect throughout the meal.
The menu offered a wide variety of options, from fresh sushi and sashimi to perfectly grilled meats and flavorful ramen. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with authentic flavors. The sushi, in particular, was outstanding—fresh, expertly prepared, and delicately seasoned. You could really taste the quality of the ingredients.
I also appreciated the little details: the tea was served hot and aromatic, the miso soup was comforting, and the dessert—matcha ice cream—was the perfect way to end the meal.
