Gringo Chicken, Ribs & Friends - SM MOA MAAX — Restaurant in Pasay

Had a very bad experience here, two days ago. We were 8 people. First person ordered a salad, i ordered half a rack and chili shirmp. While the head waiter (?), was getting orders from our friend (#6 in our group, head waiter (?), approaches me and said "sorry sir, shrimps have run out". So I changed order to calamari. So after approximately 20-25 mins, orders were coming in and there last people who ordered were getting served first. Then another waiter approaches and informs me that the calamari had run out of stock. This is after 25 mins of waiting. So disgusted, i said nevermind and asked for the main course, after which they served. I then asked for some hot sauce. A few mins later, another waiter comes and tells the first person in our group to order, that her order was out (just a simple salad), after 30+ mins!! I said what the heck is happening. I get the standard.. " I will check and see what happened". So our friend changes her order to dory taco (smallest portion of dory I've seen ever). Gets it, and it was no good. All the while im waiting for my hot sauce. Eventually, i had to stand in the middle of waiter traffic, raise my voice to get attention, for bloody hot sauce. (they dont have it, they have a house hot sauce that over powers the original taste of different meats. Eventually, all taste the same). And the kicker, less then a minute after I and the friend with the first order just started to eat, they come and have the gall to say.. " sir, how was our food, and can you rate our service, and leaving a questionnaire on our table. Really, how dumb was that. Eventually, they came out, saying something went wrong in the kitchen. Duh.. You think? Food taste was not bad, but racks is better. Service.. AHAHAHA....

Friendliest price for a good tasting chicken! We always opt to come at Gringo whenever we cover for concerts and shows in MOA. Prices are very reasonable and budget friendly. You get more than what you paid for.

Recommendation: Southern Spice Chicken (Mexican Rice👌) Their Icedtea is what I always want to have plus lots of water! The order always comes with chips and their dip is excellent for my palate. Their Quesadillas are also for a win This restaurant has a good list of drinks, good enough for pre and post concert treat while waiting for Grab Surge to go down lol.

Come try their Fishermans Feast which is good for 6-8 pax! Sides: Mexican Rice, Buttered Corn. Starters: Nacho Grande - your friends will love you if you pay for this for them as well as their Garlic Calamari!

One thing off about this restaurant is that the staffs may come very unattentive. They serve our drinks without glass and we needed to ask twice before they can even give us. Same when we bill out, we need to ask 2x before they attended us. Could be better if they have initiative to collect and check their guests needs. Focus in customer service please 😘

AMBIENCE Place was spacious and cozy. It's a good thing we managed to get seats right away. Indoor seating only.

CHILI CON CARNE FRIES Mom picked this out of the jar for Mother's Day and were super delicious! Serving was enough to appreciate and enjoy.

GRINGO SOUTHERN SPICE CHICKEN (quarter) Meat was tender and well-cooked while skin was very tasty, full of flavor. Serving size was also very satisfying. Mexican Rice and Garlic Mushroom sides were also served generously although the latter got boring halfway. Perhaps more garlic would've been better.

GRINGO BARBECUE RIBS (solo) I loved the smokey barbecue and meat easily came off the bones. Mashed Potato was excellent with a fine consistency.

LATIN SALPICAO STREET TACO Just right. It uses a soft wrap and I had fun folding the entire thing together. They gave a lot of filings so we ate the excess before wrapping it up.

They also have a kids menu but their only choices would be Chicken Tenders and Bolognese Spaghetti.
