I recently dined at Aristocrat in SM Mall of Asia and I must say the food really lives up to its reputation. Their lumpia is a standout, crispy, flavorful, and well seasoned. It’s one of the best I’ve had. Other dishes were also satisfying with that classic Filipino comfort food taste that Aristocrat is known for. The staff were polite, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Service was quick and accommodating which made the dining experience smooth overall. However, there are some things that need improvement. We noticed flies flying around our table and on the food which was a bit off putting. One of the staff members had an electric mosquito killer and was using it near customers during the meal, not exactly ideal while eating even if the intent was to help. While it didn’t completely ruin the experience, cleanliness and pest control should be better managed especially before customers are seated. It’s basic restaurant hygiene that should always be in place. Overall the food was great and the staff were kind but I hope they take steps to improve the cleanliness of the dining area. I would still come back especially for the lumpia but with hopes for a cleaner environment next time.

It used to be a good place but I don’t know what happened now. Good Filipino foods but VERY lousy service. No one will even ask you if how’s your food, if you need anything, if you still have another order, if you still have dessert. No one cares actually, they just walk around , unless you ask them . Other restaurants provide good food and good customer service as well . I’m here now , July 1, 2019 3:23 PM. And the restaurant is not even full. They can see us that were already done with our meal but no one even cares to ask . My mom and I was evening waving , and calling one of the Male staff to get his attention so we can already get the bill and he just looked at us from afar and walked back towards the cashier , completely ignoring us. I personally have to go to the cashier just to get the bill which I think is unprofessional for a cosy restaurant like this . I can understand if the restaurant is full , or if it’s lunch time or dinner time wherein there’s a lot of customers but there are only few customers.

Mid range restaurant serving pork and chicken barbecue. Average price per plate for the bbq is 300 pesos which is expensive when compared to regular bbq places not in malls but they can do it at that price point because of their name and quality. Pork and boneless chicken bbq are tender and flavorful, just not the biggest fan of the java sauce. They also ration the sauce. For 345 pesos, you can get the 3pc bbq chicken which has more meat if you dont mind the bone. Laing is so-so. It seemed like the leaves were overcooked which made them look minced. You can skip ordering this. Service and ambiance is bad. Tables were greasy, the area had lots of beggars and kids selling sampaguita, spaces were too tight between tables, and servers would immediately get your plate right after eating implying that you have to leave. The experience here is slowly turning into a fast food joint and with their prices, people might be better of going to real fast food restos.

I typically never write reviews, but after this experience, I felt it was necessary. If I could give this zero stars, I would. My family and I sat down and were immediately passed by 3 waiters. We, then, ordered and it took over an hour for drinks. Yes, I said that correctly...drinks. 3 bottles of water and 3 sodas. After the hour wait, our food came out sporadically. Two family members ordered a soup and one received theirs, while the other did not. Mid service, our waiter leaves. After waiting another 30 or so minutes, the remaining food comes out. Still, no soup for the other family member.

We call over the manager and get bombarded with excuses. She explained that the weird timing in meals had to do with ordering appetizers and a meal, but when confronted with the fact that 1) it took over an hour to get drinks 2) the soup issue and 3) that this wasn’t the case for any of the tables around us, the conversation quickly grew silent.

The manager offered to fire in an order of the soup and explained she would “investigate” the situation. It doesn’t take Sherlock Holmes to figure out this one. This is a poorly run restaurant. Stay away, unless you appreciate being looked over and waiting over 2 hrs for...
