A Near-Perfect Brunch with One Big Miss
Our visit to Wildflour at MOA began on a strange, avoidable note: Despite being seated, we were passed over—not once, but twice—for a basic courtesy: water. Tables to our left? Refilled. To our right? Refilled. Ours? Completely ignored.
After waiting far too long and catching the staff’s eye with no response, I did the only reasonable thing—I stood up, walked over, and brought the pitcher to our table myself. Right in front of the water staff. Why such a lapse in basic attentiveness occurred remains a mystery, but it’s one that left a poor first impression. Common sense and hospitality go hand in hand—this shouldn’t have happened.
Now for the good news:
Everything else went wonderfully. Anne, our waitress, turned things around with professionalism and care. She listened attentively to our dietary needs and helped navigate the menu to minimize sugar, even flagging ingredients like bananas in the pancakes that came with a sugar glaze. She took initiative, and that mattered.
The food? Excellent. The pancakes—fluffy, warm, subtly savory without the sugar. The coffees were rich and well-prepared. Tumeric smoothies and juices were fresh, balanced, and satisfying—nothing overly sweet or artificial.
It’s a place we’d gladly return to— Just be ready to grab your own waternoitcher and pour your own water, if needed.
............................. Negative: dirty seats were given to us, no water despite waiting
Positive: Anne was the MVP, proactive, and actually has the smarts to ask relevant questions. This place is lucky to have her...
Read moreBeware about placing a Grabfood order at Wildflour-to-Go SM MOA. I placed an order tonight which went through the app and I got assigned a driver to pick up the order. When the driver arrived at the restaurant, they said my order was out of stock. The driver asked me to cancel, but there was no cancellation button. I also told the driver that based on experience, if the item is out-of-stock, it should be the restaurant who should update the app to reflect that it is out of stock. i reached out to Grab support and they said the same thing, the restaurant should update the order. I talked to the Wildflour staff who CLAIMED they did not receive the order. Really???? It entered MY app and the DRIVER’s app, but for some magical reason it did not enter the restaurant’s app? Really? When i demanded that the Wildflour staff fix it and update the order on their end to make sure i won’t get charged and so that a new order can enter the driver’s app, they just said they will “double-check” their app. After several minutes, the order was still not cancelled, so i finally got in touch with a Grab support person (finally got over the bot) and asked Grab support to cancel because Wildflour MOA staff was UNHELPFUL and...
Read moreI've seen this restaurant in many locations throughout Metro Manila but never had a chance to try it out.
I dropped by for a friend's birthday breakfast get together.
The ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful and inviting. However, the first seating offered had dirty seats with food debris.
I settled on the classic pancakes. The presentation of the pancakes were beautiful like a work of work. I was weary because usually beautiful presentation and taste don't go hand in hand. Lucky the taste was good as well. The pancakes were not as fluffy or soft as some I've had before but it was still good nonetheless.
However, what truly made this a spectacular dining experience was the service. Our server, Anne, was amazing!!! We asked for our drinks and food to be as sugarless as possible and she was more than willing to help and even proactively asking if certain other ingredients in the food was ok. That is the type of employee this restaurant should be lucky to have.
Food is on the pricey side but you are paying for the experience. Highly recommended especially for those special occasions where you...
