Wendy's | SM Mall of Asia — Restaurant in Pasay

Took three guest to Wendy's Old Fashion Hamburgers in the Mall of Asia. Wow I was so excited to share Wendy's with my family here in the Philippines. Being from over seas I know the quality and reputation of Wendy's standards... all I havd to say is. I was embarrassed by the low standards of this restaurant. Ordered three bacon cheese burgers deluxe meals. Chicken sandwich meal, bowl of chili and four Oreo frosties. Here the good part of the review. The burgers were served hot..... Too bad the hamburger buns were not fresh. Fries on the side were embarrassing, I guess Management wants to save money by ripping off the customer's fries. Pictures on menu board shows a full bowl of chili. Had to insist that they fill the BOWL UP!!!!! chili was not cooked. Kidney beans were hard like bullets. My wife had to wait five minutes for a freshly made Chicken sandwich, the chicken was cooked perfectly I'm happy to say but again this was served on a cold stale bun.

Just want to mention I meet Dave Thomas back in 1982 when I was a manager for Wendy's. If Mr.Thomas asked you a questions....You better have the right answers for him. In case you didn't know Dave Tomas was the founder of Wendy's. I only worked for Wendy's for a year or so but I never forgot the hight standards he brought to his franchises here is Mall of Asia Wendy's has forgotten the meaning of quality and customer delight. It looks like this is lost here in the Philippines at your Mall of Asia...

I don't know what the deciding factor is with why when asking Filipinos to do something they are not familiar with, they more than often either outright refuse to do it or are incapable of doing "it".

In this case, I instructed the order taker at this Wendy's to toast the bun on the burger I was ordering, very well. After consulting with the manager and a few other coworkers with confused expressions on every face, I was confident of one thing... the bun was not going to be prepared as I requested... It wasn't.

This does and hasn't happened only at Wendy's. It is more often the case than not in every encounter I have had with Filipinos.

I understand every culture has similarities throughout their people. I'm not picking on or singling out Filipinos. I am only pointing out what I experiencing where I currently...

Its one of my wifes preference, talking about fast food. Especially their salads. Last time i visited them I want to try their f.chicken meal. Unfortunately because it was closing time,they already stopped getting orders for the meals. So, I decided to go for big burger mushroom melt BBMM(duh!) The patty is big and square. The taste is good, but this set doesnt come w veggies wc i prefered to have when eating burgers. I also found it to be on the dry side and immediately missed the one burger i love the most. Tropical Hut. But on the positive side its big, And the combination of bacon, mushroom and melted cheese left me satisfied and full for that dinner. not with their SERVICE though wc stopped me fr giving...
