So I took my wife and her family for dinner last night; we already expected a high volume of diners since it was Mother's Day. However, what we didn't expect was the unprofessional treatment and unsolicited side comments of the staff after my wife provided her feedback that someone who just got there and requested a reservation was accommodated first. Just to let you know, my wife was already there and waiting on the line when the lady and her family, who got in first, requested a table for five people.
At first we were told to wait for 15 to 20 minutes, and we did; however, the lady before us who just got her name listed got accommodated first, so it took us almost an hour before we were brought to our table and still waited patiently.
From here, since we were presented with a feedback form, my wife took the chance to express her honest experience, as she noticed the unfairness of the staff in charge of the reservations.
We've been dining at this branch for quite some time, and this is the very first time that something like this happened and we got treated like this. We are just really disappointed, and to hear the staff being sarcastic about my wife's feedback tells a lot about how unprofessional the staff was. It's just honest feedback, and I hope you're using customer feedback as a resource to improve your services and not to go against your customers if things don't turn out well within your handling.
For the arrogant server, who took the feedback form and reacted in a sarcastic way after reading it, and for the lady who's in charge of the reservation list, who could possibly be providing special treatment to other guests and doesn't have any transparency, we heard that she even insisted that the lady before us got their first, and we were just next to them when we were about to leave the restaurant. We do not appreciate your audacity and level of dishonesty. And for these reasons, we lose our trust in your dear staff. Please train them well. This is just sad and...
Read morePros: -The place feels and looks cozy -The signature Oyakodon is really worth a try if you don't mind a bit of sweetness but even the normal Rosu is already a treat -The refills are prepared as if it's the first serving all over again. The rice is perfect, the cabbage is fresh, and the soup still has seaweeds and tofu in them -Majority of the food attendants are attentive. (I've got to cut them some slack bec the place is really packed) -The chicken menchi is perfect for kids -They got brewed iced tea 🧘 -The bill prep is fast -It does not have its own comfort room but it does not matter because it's beside SM's anyway.
Cons: -Though i know it can be normal in Japanese restos, i felt that the seats are quite close to each other or I'm just not used to being around people again after pandemic 😅
If you are planning to go here, park at the North parking bldg. Google maps' estimated walking distance is not correct which states that it's faster to reach on foot from South parking bldg. Posting this here just in case you are planning to date your...
Read moreWonderful dining experience with the family after a long and tiring day. The food was spectacular and the service was just the cherry on top.
We were 10 in the group and we had a baby with us and we were carrying around a lot of stuff + my aunt from New Zealand was also carrying around some luggage so imagine the hassle of trying to accommodate all of us. But the crew seamlessly handled the situation where we were all comfortable dining, made sure that our stuff was safe/secure and that the other diners were not bothered by our huge group. They also made sure that our refillables (drinks, side dish) were always filled up and we felt that they were always making sure to address any of our requests. Mind you, this was all during PEAK HOURS as well so we would've understood if the service wasn't up to par but I guess we were proven wrong. 10/10 would dine again and will recommend to anyone looking for a place to...
