Our huge family decided to celebrate my cousins birthday here today, Sept21 of 2025. The floor team/servers were all very warm and kind enough to help us with the selection but the chefs behind the meat section and the ice cream section are the ones who made an incredible impact in our experience! Will take down every details that ruined our day
When we arrived at 11am, meat and seafood selection were not all filled that we had to ask and return 3x before being served (specifically, the shrimps. I was told twice that they’re still thawing and when I asked for the third time, the chef behind the section suggested that we only take 1 plate of shrimp 🤡 mind you, we’re a party of 32pax)
Only sliced pork were displayed in the meat section and chicken innards. When we asked for beef, the chef (again) refused to serve us some as he was still cutting pork at that moment. I dont understand why do we even ask for it and why is it not on the display. And when we asked for the meat marinade when we’re finally given some slices of beef, we were told that its not allowed to give those meats some flavours 😂
One of my nieces asked for teaspoon as she took a bowl of ice cream for her own. The lady behind the bar gave her one but in a very rude and unprofessional way. Plus.. when we asked another kin to pickup some ice cream for us, the lady told her “mahina ang kalaban ha!”. Then what was the purpose of us dining in an eat-all-you-can concept if an attendant has to stop us from taking some food to consume??
The same lady in the ice cream section was unapologetic when we asked her to refill the sweetened banana and the ube halaya in the halo halo section. She coldy said “wala na” when we asked for a refill
We almost didnt mind being seated near the glass door where it seems super hot than the rest of the area. And considering these two unprofessional staff, we didnt fully enjoy the experience. Our servers Don and Adrian (if I’m not mistaken) were the best! Don even helped us with the meats and offered some drinks to cool me up as I’m a pregnant lady disappointed by these circumstances. Same with the managers, Chef Jake and Lyka who took the time to listen to my concerns and has immediately taken action after the complain. We’d love to be back but not in this branch. And I really hope that those two will learn their lesson on how people in hospitality sector treats...
Read moreMarami na kaming branch na kinainan with fam thats why we already know the foods. Thats why im disappointed with this branch. My wife and daughter dont really like pork thats why we really like tongyang compare to others because of the sliced beef and shrimp tempura. But yesterday it took us 35 mins to get a soggy tempura and 45 mins to get a sliced beef. And nung finally binigyan ako nung beef, the cook is asking me kung ilan kami like for me its rude. After asking there a couple of times and asking me that na parang ayaw talaga nila magbigay. Mas inuna pa niya magclean ng floors that time. Also the shrimp na like yun na nga lng yung halos pinunta namin. Parang ayaw pa magrefill and we dont really it that much..The waiter that time is also not that accomodating the fact that hindi pa naman too busy that time... The fried rice, dumplings and desserts is really good though but for the first time my family is not that happy. Have a high expectation to tongyang like tongyang sm north where the cooks and waiters are really smiling and accommodating. Will not come back to that moa branch...
Read moreI had an excellent dining experience at Tong Yang Restaurant, MOA, which came highly recommended by a colleague here in Doha, Qatar. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed, and the exceptional service provided by CJ and Ron made my visit truly memorable.
Both CJ and Ron were highly professional, attentive, and accommodating. They ensured that everything was well taken care of—from assisting with the grill and hotpot selections to providing prompt and friendly service throughout the meal. Their deep knowledge of the menu, efficiency, and commitment to customer satisfaction truly stood out.
The restaurant itself offers a fantastic variety of fresh and high-quality ingredients, making it a perfect spot for those who enjoy grilling and hotpot dining. The ambiance was inviting, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations.
I highly recommend Tong Yang, MOA, not just for its great food but also for the outstanding service provided by dedicated staff like CJ and Ron. Thank you for making my visit exceptional—I will...
