City Buffet Restaurant — Restaurant in Quezon City

BAD SERVICE !!!! Yesterday we were looking for a buffet restaurant in SM Fairview to dine in and see if we can go back on father's day celebration w/ the whole family. We first tried entering City Buffet however there was no any attendant welcoming us. We even got in the middle of the restaurant looking for attendant who can guide us for a table of 2 and found one, tried to reach him but to our surprise he just looked us and took his back on us even if we persistently was trying to get his attention by calling him "boss". Wow that was a pretty bad experience for first timers so we decided to just go out from that place and look for a better one and will never go back in there. At last we found Sambokojin, we were entertained immediately right in front of the resto until we came inside, quite expensive almost close to Vikings rate, but the food and SERVICE...

The night went great until.it was time to pay. The server come round with the check and asked us for visa card. The server said don't worry if you get over charged we will fix it as soon as we can if it happens. We gave the card and were waiting over 15 minutes until I asked what was happening. The server bought electronic payment pad and asked us to enter the pin. We noticed there was no amount showing on the screen, so we refused to enter the pin. We asked to see the amount on the screen she showed us the paper bill and said it don't show on the terminal. At this point we said we wi pay cash as I'm not enter a pin on a blank screen. Server rolled her eyes changed her mood to anger and stormed off. We payed cash. PLEASE CHECK YOUR BILL don't get caught with this. Not sure if it's what they do to forigners or its everyone, but I'm sure...

We tried to eat in here before pandemic and had a great experience as far as I remembered.

My family tried to eat here after many years. The restaurant is still big and can really accommodate a large group. It still had a very nice ambience that gives high end dining vibes. The seats and tables are very nice which I think they really maintained. The staff are nice and very accommodating to the guests.

One thing I noticed is that their food selections are quite underwhelming and had lessened as far as I remembered the past years that we had eaten here. There were few selections of vegetables, seafoods and desserts. It also took quite some time to refill their dishes. The foods are still good though. The price range is quite okay for experience, but doesn't justify the food selections they had.
