Pho Hoa/MyThai - SM Fairview — Restaurant in Quezon City

I have always ordered from this restaurant, we never had a problem before. But because of what happened today, I will never order from this restaurant ever again. My parents were declined service by the staff named Mike and Ronelo. They were kicked out of the restaurant immediately, when they saw our tiny toy poodle which is very well behaved, always being held by my parents and with diapers. She’s pretty much our baby. They were told that if they want to dine there, they better wait outside as all the tables were reserved, mind you, most of the tables are empty. While my parents are waiting, 3 groups walked in with no reservations and they were seated immediately. Then my mom said that Mike told her “Bawal yan, may aso kasi kayong dala eh”. I will never support a restaurant where my furbabies are not welcome. And besides the staff could have been nice enough in saying that statement, my mom said they were treated by him really rudely. If there’s a negative star here, I would’ve given them that. No wonder why most restaurants in SM is full most of the time and they’re not. To think that I always give tips to the staff every time we dine there, such a shame and waste of money. Please train your staff to be professional and courteous, they’re not serving in the kanto to treat customers that way. So...

Went to the SMF branch, ordered a takeaway of pho. Upon ordering I asked the waitstaff about how many servings is the small pho, and he said just good for one. So, I ordered large because they're for my parents to share. When the bill came, I got confused because it was the price for the small pho, so I told the waiter that I ordered large pho. He said on the receipt it says small. I said, no I ordered the large one. The guy who took my order was rude and accusing that I ordered small which i didn't. They said they've already prepared the small pho and cannot do the large one anymore. It's like you're backed into a corner and have no choice but to just accept it. That rude waiter who took the wrong order didn't even apologized. He was sulking and muttering that he was right. Never encountered someone like this before. Told the other waiter to tell that rude one to be attentive of customer's orders. I was willing to pay for the correct order but they were adamant they cannot change the order anymore because it's already been done and receipt is...

One of my "go to" place, this part of SM. I specifically go for this healthy option, in a wide array of different dining choices inside the mall. Specially love their seafood pho. Not salty and just enough size for a hungry tummy. But, i noticed this time, that some of the foods served have a dab of "umami" . Cause after eating, i yawned and felt a bit groggy. Not sure from what food specifically. This, inspite of having their Vietnamese coffee, which is a must have, when you check in here. Or, maybe, i just got sensitive. Still, most of their menu are delightful. And you don't feel bloated after dining in. The service, however, is just average. Because of limited staffs, brought about by the restrictions, a little bit of patience should be exercised. But, it's manageable.The "MY THAI" menus, are also not bad. Very similar to their vietnamese counterpart. Only, the serving sizes are smaller.

A little bit expensive here but it's healthier. Compared to the different, but always fried foods all around the mall. This one here, is definitely worth...
