I’ve been a fan of North Park for years, but my experience at the SM Fairview branch was incredibly disappointing. While the food remains consistent with the usual North Park quality, the service is shockingly poor. The food itself is still great, which is the only saving grace of this branch, but the overall experience was ruined by the lack of customer service.
The staff here, especially the one wearing a yellow polo (who I hope is not the manager), displayed little to no effort in ensuring the customers are well taken care of. If this person is indeed the manager, it’s extremely disheartening because they do not act like one at all. The waiters and servers seem clueless about the menu, and it’s frustrating to ask basic questions only to get confused responses. There’s no finesse in how the food is served either — it feels rushed and careless, which reflects poorly on the restaurant as a whole.
Adding to the disappointment, the restroom was filthy, which is completely unacceptable for a restaurant. It gives the impression that cleanliness and upkeep are not priorities for this branch. Overall, it feels like this location is just hanging by a thread, barely keeping its doors open, and there’s no sense of pride or grit in making things better. The staff seem more interested in just finishing the job than delivering any semblance of quality service.
I’ve been to several North Park branches in the past, some of which have closed down, and unfortunately, I can see this branch heading in the same direction if the service doesn’t improve. The food may still be good, but it’s not enough to make up for the subpar service.
If you value service and a pleasant dining experience, I would strongly suggest staying away from this branch unless it’s your...
Read moreI'm a big fan of North Park—I visit their store about twice a month! Their food isn’t exactly cheap, but the serving size and quality make it absolutely worth it.
My favorites are the Fried Prawn Dumplings, Toasted Noodles, and Sweet and Sour Fish. The taste and portion sizes are always consistent. Their Wonton Mami is also quite large, even if you just get the light size. It’s good for one person, and they’re very generous with extra soup.
If there’s one dish I didn’t enjoy, it would be the Salted Garlic Squid. It seemed like they used frozen squid, and it wasn’t crunchy at all. The squid itself was a bit tough to chew, probably because of the large cuts.
As for the staff, they’re friendly and easy to call when needed, making the overall experience pleasant.
Note: Maybe North Park could offer a loyalty card? I eat at your restaurant way...
Read moreThe quality of food in North Park never diaappoints. One of the go.to places if you are craving chinese food. Tastes authentic chinese, the flavor you search for. From dimsum to fried rice to noodles to meats and vegetable meals, to soup, all are on point. The place was really busy during our visit but they still accommodated us decently and without any mishaps. I just think the place is already too small for them to serve many customers of SMF. The staff are very attentive and seems trained. Orders are on time in accordance with what they stated to you. A bit crowded but overall a...
