Honestly, we were expecting... more. We walked in. No greeting, no sign that the staff understand hospitality at all. We seated ourselves and were given a menu. It was short and sweet - this in itself made us hopeful as a smaller menu means it's easier to manage, supposedly. We noticed a bain-marie with different dishes - veggie meat and spinach, veggie meat caldareta, and lumpia. I asked one of the more veteran waitresses/kitchen staff who was hovering around the dish what was in the lumpia (as there are so many different types of vegetable lumpia out there). Her response? "Gulay." Really? In vegetarian restaurant? Your lumpia has "gulay"? When I pressed further about what vegetables were in it, my question went unanswered. My wife ordered the lumpia and caldareta with rice, we shared a Sampler of potato patties, fried mushrooms, and papadam. The papadam were excellent - really flavorful and full of spice, the fried mushrooms had this really thick breading around it like they were pretending to be a deep-fried corn dog, and the potato ball (it was a ball, not a pattie) was still frozen in the middle. Other than that, it was just like eating deep fried potato. My entree was eggplant parmigiana. A good eggplant parmigiana has mozzarella and a good marinara, which was unfortunately missing from this dish. The cheese tasted like Eden and the marinara was tomato cut up and baked on top of the eggplant. Also missing from our meals was salt, pepper, and flavor. It doesn't matter how fresh or flavorful your produce is, when you cook without seasoning, you cook without enhancing flavor. How do I know this? 20 years industry experience is how I know. Please, fix the way you talk to diners, fix your food, and justify the...

I ate here years ago and wasn't really impressed by the food and the service. Decided to give another chance since it's the pandemic and I really want to support businesses as they need us more than ever.

One thing that really improved is the service. The ambiance was always homey and cozy so no complaints. The owners are kind people ❤️

The food was served faster this time. But the food...was disappointing.

Sadly, ordering food here was like playing delicious food Russian roulette-style. You never know if you'll get the good dish.

I ordered the chicken with mushroom sauce, eggplant parmigiana, kare-kare, mozzarella sticks, fried mushroom, native hot chocolate, and brewed coffee.

The eggplant parmigiana was so watery and wasn't cooked well. It was soupy. Super bland. Herbs were undercooked. I took one spoonful and had them remove it from the table because it wasn't edible. Told the staff and they didn't even say anything.

The mozzarella sticks were bland and tasted funny. Couldn't even finish that too.

The chicken was okay. I liked the usage of yuba but the taste could be improved. But it is edible.

Best part and the only thing I'll order here is the Kare-Kare. Really good. The bagoong they made matches the dish. This is why I gave an extra star to this whole review.

Overall, not worth the money I paid. 😢

Leaving this review so that they can improve on their dishes and that hopefully I can eat their food...

I was tricked by the 4.5 stars. First off, these are run by servers who do not pay attention to your orders. House water that we ordered were not delivered until we had to follow up midway into finishing our meal. We kept having to ask for house water. The Barbeque that I requested for take out for our driver came in a platter so I had to remind the server I asked for it to be boxed. 30 minutes into eating, my brother's Carbonara didn't arrive yet. When we followed up, it took another 20 minutes for the Carbonara to arrive- Obviously they forgot about it. The server also came with some custard that we did not order and the server looked confused and muttered something which seemed that she was misinformed in the kitchen or by the previous server who took our order. As for the food, this place is by no means healthy. Everything is too oily and overly sweet or salty. Their Green salad with vinaigrette is so basic. My brother ordered their Mushroom & Tofu Kebab which he didn't enjoy at all as it had too much sweet sauce overpowering on the rice. None of us finished our Spinach or Pumpkin soup. I just picked on my veggie Kare-Kare.

This is my first time reviewing a place and I am sharing our experience so that this establishment can improve on their...

My sister was looking for a healthy place to dine while she was in Manila and Greens' 4+ star rating reeled her in. Sadly, she had me come along. Apart from the painfuly slow and pitiful service a lot of what was on the menu that tickled my fancy was not available. So I settled on the the Mushroom & Tofu kebab with garlic rice, a decision I was too soon to regret. My dish arrived after some measure of eternity, and while I was expecting to experience the savory goodness of a kebab or prepared self for a vegan's healthy tasting creation, I was instead met with the excessively strong sweetness of what I could describe as a variation of teriyaki sauce. I tried to conquer this meal with the help of the included garlic rice and the few slices of red bell pepers to no avail. I just couldn't stomach the sweetness, and in the end I failed and left the meal unfinished. Maybe if the servers were more attentive and quick to respond my stay could have been a more bearable one and I may have considered coming back to gamble on the rest of their menu. Even billing out took forever. Sadly this is my first and last visit to Greens. Service - 1/5 - poor. Food - 1/5 - doesn't agree with me. Ambience - 3.8/5 - nice homey feel. Some parts needs repair.
