Johnny's Steak and Grill — Restaurant in Quezon City

We were craving some steak so we thought to try this place out last night because of the reviews. We ordered the ceaser salad and two ribeye steak with potato wedges and grilled asparagus as sides. The service was mediocre. We got our salad at a decent time after ordering but our steaks took forever. About 40 minutes from getting our salad one of the waiters came to our table to confirm our order and it was wrong. They had no idea what we ordered so we had to tell them again. A little over 20 minutes later my steak finally arrived but we had to wait an extra 8 minutes before my fiancé's food arrived and the order was still wrong. They gave her the wrong side dish. When they finally gave her the right side dish, it got even more disappointing. Her side dish was the grilled asparagus. Her asparagus was pretty much all the bottom part of the stalks. I have been a regular customer here since 2017. Last time I dined here was 2-3 months ago and the steak was still good. Last night July 27, 2023, i tried it again, their steak was horrible. Obviously, it wasn’t USDA Choice which was what they claimed in the menu, they used a cheaper steak which was bad quality (similar to the cheap “brazilian” steak supply found online). I called the attention of the server and asked if they changed the supplier of their mear, it was confirmed by the chef that they did change which we only overheard. I had to call the attention of the waiter again to confirm what we overheard from the chef, she had no plans of coming back to answer my question which was weird. Ordered the ff. 1.) SotD - cream of brocolli - just the right amount of richness, saltiness and heat to prep the taste buds 2.) US beef tenderloin (cooked medium) w/ onions rings & lemon butter sauce - meat was cooked to my liking - soft and juicy and pairs well with the lemon butter sauce, still have to chew it well though; onion rings was crispy 3.) garlic rice - stayed warm until I finished my steak! 4.) house blend iced tea - very refreshing, a bit on the sweet side though but great to cleanse the palate
