I hope this message finds you well. I’m a long-time customer and a fan of your restaurant — I’ve dined at your Scout Tobias and BGC branches and have always enjoyed your food, especially the grilled pork chop with quinoa as an add-on, and your ube milkshake. This time, my partner and I visited your Greenhills branch on Sunday, August 17, around 4:45 PM.
While we enjoyed the overall experience, I’d like to share both minor and major concerns from our visit:
Minor call-outs:
Portion size – The fries were literally about five pieces.
Quinoa portion – Very small, almost the size of a ketchup dip cup, yet charged as a ₱199 add-on.
Missing side – The grilled pork chop did not come with mashed potato, as stated on the menu.
Major call-out: The quinoa served was spoiled. Initially, I thought it might have been seasoned differently, but the aftertaste confirmed it had gone off. I reported this to the waiter and asked for a manager, but was informed no manager was available at that time. The quinoa was taken away after being smelled by the staff.
What was disappointing was when the cook/chef came out to speak with my partner and insisted that “this is how it’s supposed to be cooked.” As someone who has ordered this dish multiple times from your other branches, I can confirm it was not. This response left us quite upset, especially as we were short on time and had to leave for a movie.
I value your restaurant, which is why I felt it important to share this feedback directly. I hope the matter can be addressed to improve consistency in food quality and customer service, particularly in your Greenhills branch.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Read moreWe’ve dined at SuperSam several times to celebrate birthdays and other special occasions, and the food has always been great—-this place could’ve easily been one of my favorites in QC. Unfortunately, our recent visit was far from what we’ve come to expect.
We arrived at the restaurant around 10:03pm and were seated outside. Planning to enjoy desserts, we ordered just 3 items: 2 cakes and 1 ube champorado. Soon after, we noticed that new customers who arrived after us were served promptly—given water, utensils, etc. Meanwhile, we were left waiting. I understand it was a busy night, but it was disappointing to have to ask multiple times for basic service, such as water, only to be ignored. It felt like we were begging just to be noticed.
After waiting for about 45 minutes, our 1st order finally arrived—the champorado—but without any utensils. We couldn’t even start eating. We asked again for water and followed up on our cakes (thinking that since they didn’t require cooking, they should be easy to prepare). I also requested the bill to save time, since it was clear we might need to keep following up repeatedly. The waiter responded with a brief “yes” and walked away.
By that time, several groups had already finished eating and left. Finally, at around 10:50 PM (almost an hour after we arrived) one of the cakes was served. Still no water and our order remained incomplete.
I tried to remain patient, but after waiting for an hour without even receiving water or all of our orders, we decided to leave. It was truly disheartening. As much as I’ve enjoyed SuperSam in the past, this experience has made me not...
Read moreSuper Sam is a new restaurant along Scout Tobias near the corner of Timog. It’ll definitely catch your eye with its very stylish exterior and high ceiling interior that looks like something you’d see in BGC. Because of this, I was always curious to see how it was.
The first thing the waiter asked me was if I was a “Lyka Gem payer” and that pretty much set the tone for the night.
Their menu consists mainly of Filipino comfort food such as various sandwiches, rice meals, and burgers. I ordered a cheesy bacon jalapeño burger (Php420) and a sample platter (Php700) to share with my friend, who ordered a chicken burger (~Php200).
I was let down by the burger considering the price. The meat was hard and overcooked. It felt like a patty that was just premade and frozen that they defrosted and fried. The bread was thick and cold. The fries were definitely from the grocery and not freshly cut potatoes. Everything else was just okay, except the mozzarella sticks from the platter which actually tasted great! My friend had a chicken burger that was okay. The most unfortunate part of it all was that everything was a bit bland, as if they forgot to add salt to everything. (On a side note, if you want a chicken burger, walk across the street and get a Jollibee Chick’nwich instead for Php160 and a burger from Sweet Ecstasy which is 2x the quality at an even slightly cheaper price).
Staff was great though! They were very nice and showed concern. Restaurant was also clean.
Overall, it’s unfortunate that the food and ambiance did not match the awesome architecture it has. Great if you’re a Lyka Gem...
