We’ve tried countless samgyupsal spots over the years, but we always find ourselves coming back to Leann’s Teahouse—and for good reason. The quality of their meat is a cut above the rest.
The food here is consistently excellent. The Meltique beef is easily the star of the show—thick, juicy, and incredibly tender. It’s honestly the main reason we keep returning. Their samgyupsal is also noteworthy; it’s not the usual paper-thin slices you find elsewhere, but still grills beautifully and has a great bite.
What sets them apart further is the variety and quality of their side dishes. You get 7 kinds of banchan, plus soup, cheese, corn, and egg served at the table. The cheese dip here is hands down the best we’ve tried among all samgyupsal places—creamy, rich, and pairs perfectly with the grilled meats.
Service is another major plus. The staff is always attentive, quick, and genuinely accommodating. Whether it’s your first time or your tenth, they make sure you’re well taken care of. Reservations are also easy to place, and they’re quick to respond when you reach out.
Now for the one downside: parking. Unfortunately, you’re not allowed to park in front of the restaurant, and we were directed to park about 2–3 blocks away. It’s a bit of a hassle, especially if you’re coming during the heat or bad weather—it can take around 10–15 minutes just to walk back and forth. This is something to plan around if you’re visiting.
Overall, despite the parking inconvenience, Leann’s Teahouse continues to be our favorite go-to for samgyupsal. Great food, excellent meat quality, unbeatable service—we’ll definitely be back...
Read moreHeard a lot of good things about Leann's Teahouse and made a reservation for 3pm today. While the meat was decent (side dishes were limited though), the service was terrible. The waiters were not attentive at all, and we had to call them several times to ask for things that should have been provided at the start. We were not given the cheese, corn, and egg that was part of our set until we asked for it. We were also not given lettuce, so we had to ask for it 3 times from 3 different waiters until it was brought to our table. The first waiter that took our orders asked if we wanted rice but never gave it to us. The waiters seemed to ignore our requests or were very slow to respond. One of the older waiters would listen to our request and then go on to do something completely different (clean the other tables) and never get back to us. There was a younger waiter who would see us, but would walk over very slowly to our table as if he didn't really want to take our orders.
The service was huge turn-off and I would think twice about coming back.
ADDITIONAL INFO: we ordered the CPB premium. It took a long time before we were given side dishes, and an even longer time before the staff brought out our grill (no sides). We thought they would come back to bring the cheese, corn, and egg, but they did not do anything until we asked them (at that point, we already finished one plate of meat and nobody noticed that the griller did not have any...
Read moreWe've been eyeing this samgyupsal place for awhile now, we had to reserve in advance to ensure that we would be accommodated but glad that we did as the place easily filled up and there was not much space for dine in customers.
Place - Place was so-so, as mentioned above their dining space was limited so I would really recommend reaching out and booking a reservation in advance.
Food - The main reason that we wanted to eat here was their Meltique Beef (and it did not disappoint) You have to pay an additional of 150 pesos on top of your existing order to avail this but it really was worth it in our opinion. The meat was really tender and looked so fresh, you can really eat this without the sauces or cheese as the meat itself was really savory and juicy. Would highly recommend not to overcook this (or any of the meats that they have) so you can enjoy the full experience of eating their Meltique beef. We also enjoyed their other offerings, The Buchaesal was also really tender and flavorful that we kept on asking for refills everytime we would run out of it.
Price - While they have an offering that matches the price point of other known samgyupsal restos, we highly recommend to avail their premium set + Meltique Beef as we felt that the value that you will be getting would be worth it.
Personally, we had a wonderful experience at Leanns's and we would definitely...
