Limbaga 77 is a cozy cafe/restaurant offering Filipino fare like pancit, inihaw na manok, and mango con sago, plus cakes and coffee. The servers are responsive and attentive and the food was flavorful and decent. Decor is also nice. But, my family and I encountered a few speedbumps: • Several of the menu items we initially asked for weren't available, including the stuffed squash flowers, grilled tuna, brewed coffee, cake, and iced tea. We had to settle for other available items (tofu and mushrooms, roasted chicken, and four-flavor chicken wings). • The music was too loud and the song choices (90s pop) detracted from the cozy and restful ambience. It was borderline jologs. Other customers had to talk loudly to compensate for the blaring music. • Most of our food took almost 30 minutes to be served. The customers at the neighboring tables (one of them was around 8 months pregnant, and another one was a senior citizen) were also grumbling about their wait. • The sizzling tofu and mushrooms were tasty but drowning under a thick blanket of mayonnaise. Suggestions for Management: • Preemptive suggestions - To the manager and staff, if you know you are out of some menu items, inform your customers before they order, then suggest other available dishes. This helps prevent disappointment and can reduce walkouts. • ETA - If the food will take over 10 minutes to serve, again, inform the customers in advance that their order will be served in x minutes, and ask if that will be ok. That shows you are considerate of your customers' time. • Music - Play music that will create a good overall experience for your customers, and at an unintrusive volume. Please avoid jeepney pop. Again, this is to show basic consideration for the people who pay to be there. • Tofu and mushrooms - Use less mayo. You'll save more on the cost and it's nicer to see all the ingredients. Since it was our first visit and we enjoyed the food, we are willing to give this place another chance, in the hopes of having a better experience in the future.

The seafood smelled unfresh. In fact, it smelled close to spoilage. I know because my nose grew up in a seafood-abundant province. But the folks at Limbaga 77 served the stinking dish to the family seated beside me anyway. I asked the manager what was up with the seafood. He replied that it should be fine because it came from the freezer. Hilarious! For myself, I ordered a mango salad with shrimp. The mango was crisp and tangy, complemented with fresh, juicy cherry tomatoes. But the shrimp was not at all within any margin of freshness. The kitchen folks charred the shrimp, as shown in the pic, ostensibly to mask the unfreshness with carbon. A single bite warned me to eat yogurt or take a stomach antibacterial after the meal. The shrimp, apart from being stiffly chewy, stank. I had only a piece and left the rest untouched. As for the kare-kare, the sauce was watery. It lacked the unctuous quality of slow-cooked oxtail. The oxtail was so thick-skinned and gummy that the experience was like eating tenderized cowhide. It was chewable enough but nothing close to pleasant. The tripe was sliced just the right size overall. The meaty parts, however, were scarce; even a cafeteria serves more meat than this allegedly respectable establishment does. Limbaga 77's kare-kare was a paltry show for its price, close to P600. Do not go to this cheffy-frou restaurant. It is a nice place for photos to show off having money enough to eat out at an Instagrammable spot reviewed by "influencers." But the dishes are overrated and somewhat disgusting. The seafood served from the freezer is probably hazardous, depending on the sensitivity of the diner's gut. It is possible that the place put out good food when it first opened. But Limbaga 77 today has exhausted itself beyond the first flush of social-media fame.

This Restaurant has a charming and homey ambiance, making it a nice spot for family gatherings or small celebrations. The restaurant is set in a beautifully restored house, which adds to its cozy appeal. The food is good, but not exceptional for the price. The Kare-Kare had a rich, peanuty sauce, but the meat could have been more tender. The Crispy Pata was flavorful and crispy, though a bit too oily. Some dishes, like the Stuffed Bulaklak ng Kalabasa, were interesting but lacked seasoning. The serving sizes are generous, which is a plus. Service was friendly but a bit slow, especially during peak hours. The food took longer than expected to arrive, which was a little frustrating. Overall, it’s a decent place for classic Filipino comfort food, but with the price point and service, there are other places that offer better value.

We celebrated our son’s thanksgiving here and we booked their 2nd floor are for 50-60pax. The wife of the owner (as she introduced herself) is not that approachable. As the “wife of the owner” you should at least approach your guest with a smile at the very least. In short may pagka ma-ere and dating niya. But our main reason why we are not recommending them again for booking a celebration is that during the time of our event, no food was served yet at the buffet area. We asked them regarding the food and they said they were waiting for us to give them a go signal to have the buffet area ready. Literal na nasa kitchen pa yung food. No one from the staff even bothered to ask us if they should have the buffet area ready and even during the time of our occasion, no staff was assigned to stay in the buffet area to serve. After the 1st batch of our guests getting their food, the assigned staff in buffet area left already even if there are still food remaining. I don’t know if this is because their restaurant was fully booked during that time but even though, they should hire more workers because they know they will be having many events that day. They are not responsive to our viber messages as well. Such a poor customer service! The food were great though according to our guests they enjoyed the food. I hope Limbaga will improve their...
