Have you experienced something like as you enter the restaurant, you realized you booked the wrong place? I initially had another restaurant in mind (which turned out to be Relish's neighbor), but I don't know how we ended up here. Anyway, since it was our first time, we decided to stay. Relish Hello Happiness is located along Scout Limbaga, next to Lazat and across one of our favorites, 77 Limbaga. I loved the foyer and the interiors, very classy and homey! 🌿 __ We first had the Amazing Artichoke Dip, and it was delicious! Super bitin though! As their menu was quite extensive, we decided to just sample the pork and fish, as I'm trying to wean myself away from beef. The Louisiana Pork Chop was very tender, and I enjoyed the Apple Sauce that came with it very much. For the price, I find it too small however. What I really find more fulfilling was the Fish Kebabs. Very soft, very subtly flavored. It was supposed to come with Chimichurri, but the white sauce that arrived (not sure if it was Tartar or a Remoulade) was also just as appropriate for the fish. 🌿 __ Overall, an 8/10 experience. The reason why I'm not giving them a perfect score is I don't find the waiter who served us very professional. He's just doing things perfunctorily, and he keeps chatting with the other waiter. I know it's almost closing time, but waitstaff shouldn't be chatting with each other loudly when guests are still dining. This seems like a common complaint as well of past clients (you can read them online), so I feel the restaurant really needs to retrain the staff. Anyway, would still love to come back and try the other items...
Read moreIt is a 3.5, rounded down due to most of the food just being okay and not that good considering the price also.
What we liked: The Caesar Salad was good with the sauce being garlicky and flavorful. The Special Sisig was yummy and perfectly crispy. This just needs rice because it is very rich. The Lengua was really good. The meat was tender and the sauce was good. The Chorizo with Tomato Cream Pasta was yummy. It tasted very flavorful and the Chorizo flavor really came through.
What was okay: The Baked Salmon was okay with a lot of mayo-ish sauce. The Salmon tasted a bit different than normal as well. The Relish Callos was mixed as the meat was good and tender. But it lacked flavor and saltiness. The Roasted Chicken was just like any other Roasted Chicken. The Lamb Shoulder was just okay and it had a lot of fat with the meat. It tasted like normal lamb. The Greek Summer Pasta had a good taste but the pasta itself felt undercooked. The staff said that was normal, so I guess it depends on your taste.
What we didn't like: The Shiitake Tofu wasn't that good. It was sweet and didn't really taste like anything else. Just good to order to get a lot of rice to share. The Wild Mushroom Pasta tasted so watery with a lack of flavor and saltiness. I would avoid...
Read moreBeing the last branch of Relish, I had high hopes that this would have the most consistent service. I have tried the Makati branch and Ortigas branch when they were open, and have liked their food and ambience there.
Similarly, I loved the Sisig and Wild Mushroom pasta here. Although the sisig is really small though so you should treat it as an appetizer should you order it. They're famous for their roasted chicken, but it's not something that was memorable for me but my parents loved it. Somehow I prefer the Chimichurri Chicken a lot more despite it being only a couple of sticks. Beef Salpicao is also good and juicy. The fish and chips were also really huge so that's recommendable for me.
They have private rooms here, so I recommend this place for small intimate...
