Food was great, service wasn't the best. No one greeted us when we entered, meaning it took a while for us to get seats. The place wasn't packed, and there were 3 staff on floor duty. There were 2 big groups (6-10 people) but they were already settled and had water and the likes.
Once we were seated the manager gave us menus and we asked about a promo we received through message, he answered that it needed to be verified, and immediately turned around and left our table. After some time, hecame back to tell us that the promo was applicable and again, immediately turned around and left the table. We were just about to ask which items on the menu were included. So we waited again for some time, and then when he passed by again, we were finally able to ask about what was included in the promo.
There was also another instance where we asked the manager about possible party packages for big groups. He mentioned that you can avail this if you spend a certain amount, so we asked abt the details regarding the food to be served and the amount of people it could cater to, and he just keeps answering that "it would depend". I understand that it does vary per group, but I was expecting at least a rough estimate.
It is also worth noting that there was one server who offered to take our order after we cleared with the manager what was included, but at this point we hadn't decided yet since we just found out about the included items. However, later on, once we were already settled, we realized that we weren't given a bucket of ice like everyone else. So, we waved at her, she passed by and said she'd get back to us, and assisted one of the big groups. She passed by us 3-4 times, we made eye contact with her all those times, and she still didn't get back to us. Since there was no one else on the floor but her, we just stood up, went to the counter, and asked for ice.
This is a very similar experience we have when dining in at Shakey's branches so we avoid dining in. I do think that hiring officers should screen the employees more thoroughly and provide more training, especially with how employees handle customers.

I am a gold supercard member and I find it funny that everytime we visit Shakey’s or any of their affiliate restos they try to sell us another supercard, because the welcome package is better than the one we are getting daw sa card. The people here from this branch are not pushy, they even said, “kung gusto lang naman daw” 2 or 3x. Promise hindi ko naman nafeel na hardsell, or baka manhid lang ako kahit ilang times inulit. I understand na yes mas maganda nga to get another one to get the upgraded freebie but we want to enjoy the discount and not pay the same amount to get more food. Then I was explaining that my card is gold so dapat mas mataas yung discount and cap but they gave us the regular card discount. I am not sure if hindi sila sanay na may gusto gumamit ng supercard, gusto nila magissue ng bago. But what is the point of the 1 year validity of supercard if kada punta mo better to get a new one???
Pro Tip, you get free UCC coffee every visit sa any shakey’s branch or affiliate resto. They don’t offer it, you have to ask them that it’s part of the privilege. I think Shakey’s marketing should fix this.
