I was curious to see how Shake Shack in the Philippines compares to its Manhattan counterparts. Having tried the OG Shack in NYC—my go-to spot being the one in Penn Station—I had a good benchmark in mind. At their Gateway Mall 2 branch, I ordered my usual: a double with everything on it. I casually said “with the works,” a common term in the States, though the staff here didn’t seem too familiar with it. No big deal.
The burger itself? Surprisingly close to the New York standard. The texture and quality were spot on, and I especially appreciated the bun—soft, buttery, with that distinct yellowish touch that reminded me of the OG Shack burger. I also tried the Ube Shake (a fun Philippines-exclusive) and, of course, the classic crinkle-cut fries with cheese sauce.
Overall, it was a solid experience, especially for someone who’s had the original in New York. Yes, it’s pricey for the local market, but if you’re craving that authentic ShackBurger vibe, you don’t need a flight to NYC—this comes pretty close.
Now I wonder if In and out will have a stores here in the Philippines?? That could be...
Read moreIt's hard to give this burger place a 5 star because of the price but at the same time that keeps the place well looked after and not just your regular fast food, speaking of food, we went here at 10:30pm close to their closing time on a Friday night we were the only people but the place is very clean and everything was organized the staff were ready to take our order and it was a pleasant experience. It's my 2nd time in Shake Shack the first experience at BGC was not bad but it wasn't also good. This time around me and my daughter enjoyed the food. I went for the classic shack burger and my daughter with the chicken shack and we ordered the fries and root beer float. The ingredients were fresh, the food was cooked really well and tasted great, and the buns were awesome. All in all, it changed my perception of Shake Shack. This isn't gonna be your once a month fast food joint if you are middle-class like us but I would say that I will spend money again to eat here even though it's a bit...
Read moreShake Shack is probably my favorite franchise burger restaurant in the Metro area. I did not know this location existed, I just found it exploring the Cubao malls. Two things I like about Shake Shack are; consistency, the food tastes the same no matter which location I visit. The 2nd thing is the burgers, especially the Shackburger are so easy to eat/soft from the meat to the potato buns, and there is actually some veggies on the burger. Hopefully in the future Shake Shack PH also brings some of the other variations of their burgers here in the Philippines; such as the Bacon Burger, Spicy Shack, and the Avocado...
