Today's lunch adventure with Mom led us to indulge in their Fresh Tomato & Herb Plate, a symphony of flavors featuring Grilled Chicken and Orange Salad with Black Olive Dressing, Fresh Tomato and Herb Pasta, and a tantalizing Dessert of the Day. The dilemma of choosing between Strawberry Shortcake or Sea Salt Caramel Vanilla Cake was easily solved by ordering both, ensuring we each got a heavenly slice.

While the Sea Salt Caramel Vanilla Cake danced a little too close to the sweetness threshold for our palates, everything else was a culinary masterpiece.

I've been to other branches, with Uptown being the best for me. The food is at par with other branches, but space is really cramped. No privacy at all, unlike Via Mare or other restaurants beside it. Service isn't the best, too. The last time I went was last week with my kids. The table smelled of old rugs. We called their attention because one of the drinking glasses is dirty, I was in disbelief knowing how good the service is in other branches. Paying takes forever, too. Billed out and one server said yes but about 10 to 15 mins latee there was still no bill. Called another server and was finally billed. Maybe it'a because it's in a hospital, but there was only 1 staff who was smiling (male). All others couldn't be bothered to smile. Food here isn't really cheap, service charge isn't, too. Sat down to dine in, ordered two items. I waited for the full 25 minutes serving time plus 5 minutes. Followed up on my order and turns out it was listed as take out. Fine, got my food and went up to eat, tapos wala pa palang utensils sa loob. Worst experience. They already knew something went wrong as I informed them I was expecting to dine in, that should be the signal to check if everything was complete, that's the least you can do. Being in the hospital is already so stressful tas malalaman mo di ka sineservean kasi kala nila for pick up or take out, the food was sitting out for a certain time already, tapos gutom ka na and kakain ka na nga wala ka pang gagamitin pangkain.
